Round 1

Maestre is ducking and jabbing the body as Shelestyuk remains tall and marionette-string aligned, working behind a jab. Maestre is able to duck in with earmuffs on, rushing in to score triplets and even four-pieces and slink out without taking much of a receipt. Shelestyuk only really showing the jab so far.

Round 2

Shelestyuk is trying in vain to locate Maestre with the right jab, but getting cowed into the ropes as the Venezuelan dives in with straight two-handed reach-in combos. Shelestyuk is now taking weak slaps with the right glove, flicking his wrist and turning his palm inward after jabbing in a last-ditch effort to dissuade Maestre by - I'm not sure, assailing his masculinity with a classical "I challenge you to a duel" style open-hand strike across the cheek? Doesn't matter as they're falling short anyway - idiomatic, that is they are not traveling far enough as Shelestyuk himself is on the backfoot. They in fact are falling high, over the ducking head of Maestre.

I wouldn't quite say Shelly's shook, but at this rate it does seem he's going to make a maestro of Maestre.

 

Round 3

Shelestyuk is leaning in with his feet anchored, roping out a double southpaw jab, and then folding himself like a pita before straightening again on the outside. Maestre is checking most of those with his own left jab, or ducking in and getting his neck to either side of Shelestyuk's fist to slip his jabs. Doubled up chopping left hands by Maestre, only grazing but the only power shots of the round.
