I am 6'3, 230 lbs and I unload tracking trailers all day, so it is not some office job situation. I stretch for probabely 30 minutes per day and it wont lossen up. extremely tight and tense. any tips? I do the butterfly and an assortment of other stretches. I am afraid of tearing it also, can go without working. let me know.

See a doctor. Don't mess around with groin issues.

Plus the fact that you unload tracking trailers all day could mean that it's some sort slowly accumulated injury.

Stretching is by nature a passive form of exercise. It should be done slowly and of course carefully. If done properly stretching will never result in an injury. Stretching should be done every day and at the same time every day. Being consistent is the key to success. It is not unusual for one part of the body to need more attention than the rest. So then be patient and do a variety of stretching exercises to loosen up the problem area which for you happens to be the groin.
