Jaycob Bradley Gomez Zayas vs. Jerry Perez 8 Rounds @ Lightweight

 

I have a feeling Jerry is going to give Gomez the toughest fight of his career to date, might even pull the upset. Thus far, nothing about Gomez has impressed me.

 

Round 1 Gomez 10-8

Jerry pressing, goes down on a slip, Jerry gets him along teh ropes, swings wildly, Gomez countering well. Then walks him into a straight left, Jerry goes down on his face, hops right back up. He seems okay.

Jerry is sluggish and swinging wildly, their feet get tangled, eh goes down again, the ref incorrectly calls it a knockdown. Gomez backs him to teh corner and is unloading, Perez doesn't look great. Jerry still coming forward, working the body a little, still eating right hooks. Jerry looking unsteady again, he pins him on the ropes and unloads.

Corner waves it, Gomez wins by TKO.

 

Perez is already shot. That JoJo Diaz fight took a lot out of him. He needs to retire... now.

 

Oh well, I was wrong, although that had more to do with Perez being shot to **** more than how good Gomez is.
