Not the greatest production I've seen but comparable to other Friday night fights.

10-9 Aragón, brutalized Cordova with body shots, a few times seemed on the verge of a blitz KO. Sloppy clash of styles, however, lots of bumps and slips onto the canvas and deflected arm punches.

"El Mini" has great natural rhythm ducking and weaving under hooks, posting up inside, and countering with hard body shots with that low center of gravity adding to his leverage.

Home run intentions on every swing taken by "El Huracan", but he needs to pace himself as his accuracy simply isn't there and he is getting stuffed downstairs and will really start to feel that in a few rounds...

You can hear in their voices how much of a total blast RJJ, Milk Dud and Malignaggi are having calling this. More rowdy living room fan banter than play by play analysis.

Aragón Vega cut from a headbutt, at least partially (a Cordova overhand right may have contributed, or at least exacerbated).

Cordova sells an inconsequential low blow in the fourth, hamming it up. Commentators roasting him for it.

Just had a glance at the Venezuelan's record before tonight - dire. He went 16-0-1 (12) but against bottom of the barrel opponents (only one had a positive record himself, with more wins than losses) and they were overall combined 32-87-4. :shakehead:

Cordova with an excellent seventh, arguably his first clear round. Aragón Vega exhausted, diving in but getting drilled with straight counters on the crown without ever getting to unload any of the body shots he was easily piling on earlier.

This after quite a strong round six for Aragón Vega, where he rocked Cordova with a giant uppercut after getting him to drop his elbows with a body hook feint.

Mike Goldberg calls his broadcast partners providing color commentary "Superman and The Magic Men".

That always amused me that Tarver and Malignaggi both used that moniker simultaneously as contemporaries, used to wonder if either of them was annoyed about it. They seem to be friendly at the booth. Both have good chemistry with Jones, too, which considering the history he has with one of them is a little surprising. :sisi1

1-6 Aragón Vega, some closer than others, but Cordova's moments never added up to enough.
    7 Cordova
    8 Aragón Vega
    9 Cordova, dominant

This is fun*. Buckle up for the last three minutes...

*not sure I agree with predictions that it'll end up stealing the show from the main event, though. Bomba vs. Da Baby Boy should be good.
