How many times has runner won a fight a lot, OK.But but the man chasing won this time. Move on! Lara was running so much it was beginning to look pathetic at the end.

 

i had it 7-3 with two even for Lara.

he was negative a lot of the time, but that still doesn't mean that Canelo should get the win. he didn't land all that much. Lara landed the better, cleaner shots. but yeah, he made it easy for the judges to rip him off. they were going to do it anyway, but Lara should have made it hard for them.

even though i had him winning, there is no excuse for not throwing more punches. most of the time he was moving without setting Canelo up for the counter. that was stupid. he had his big chance tonight to shine, he knew what he had to do, but he still put out a performance like that. he's not going to win any fans that way.

but Lara was still robbed. Canelo did **** all. he did a lot less than Lara.

 

Lara did have sporadic success with his jab and straights, during the later part of the fight ( as opposed to how good it was for him during rounds 1-4) But there was bias from all sides. Some of his punches landed on the gloves and he got credit for it

But some of Alvarez's punches also missed or were not as clean as they could be

One of the Boxnation commentators earlier on during the fight stated Canelo was hitting the gloves

I remember one of the last rounds (11?) canelo his Lara with a body shot(s) and Lara hit canelo's gloves in a high defence and the commentator said "good response by Lara" lol

 

How about light heavy?

Canelo already rehydrates to 171 and Chambers has already been down to CW, just a division north.

I had Lara winning, but what I find TRULY hilarious and ironic is ****ing Devon Alexander crying robbery.

Alexander has been on the lucky end of TWO fights; Kotelnik, and Matthysse.

 

Mora knows better, but he's a pure boxer himself, so he's going to naturally favor who is perceived as the pure boxer. Canelo can be a pure boxer as well, but with the significant reach disadvantage, Canelo had to become more of a cut-off-the-right walk-down-his-opponent boxer fighter tonight.
