Professinal Fighters who scored the FIGHT FOR LARA

Also Paulie Malignaggi saying "I have a problem with Levi Martinez scoring the fight before the fight."

Again this is a guy who carried on about being robbed after his bout vs Broner, where he gave a spirited effort in the first half of the fight but clearly lost to Broner due to clean effective quality punches.

So Malignaggi is just being opinionated, but 117-111 was a very fair card, Canelo really made easy work of Lara.

I agree with the score of 117 - 111 for Alvarez. All Lara did was run around the ring, did not throw many punches at all. Alvarez landed a nice uppercut that cut Lara, he hurt Lara with body shots. Alvarez came to fight and he did. Lara ran like hell as he did not bother to fight. I guess Lara thought this was track & field............

One left from Alvarez did more damage than all of Lara's punches and those body punches took it out of Lara, he probably has broken ribs. Lara was afraid to fight. When Lomachenko fought Russell, he used lateral movement, but he also landed a lot of punches, he actually fought while Lara only played defense. Alvarez made the fight...............

 

117-111 is bad, but either man could have won.

 

No, no, no, no. Lara was BOXING for the most part. 117-111 means Canelo won 9 rounds to 3. That's an IMPOSSIBLE scorecard without corruption.

...except for when the body attack is done by the guy they wanted to win. Then they flip the switch and claim a successful body attack easily trumps equal blows to the head.

 

No matter who you favored in this fight, I think everyone probably thinks round 12 went to Canelo. Even Roth who scored it 113-115 Lara gave round 12 to Canelo. You know who didnt? Martinez, who scored it 117-111, how in the hell does he give Canelo almost every other round, except probably Canelo's best.

 

It was a competitive fight but Alvarez won handily for me.
Making rounds close but losing them paints a more one sided picture than it was when you read it as simply as 10-9 rounds added up. A fight can be 120-108 but still be very close.
Alvarez landed the more effective shots, caught a lot of Laras shots on his gloves and arms and finished the stronger man.

 

Canelo"s face didn't look like the face a guy just fought a guy that was running!!

So if Canelo say Lara run , is the same bull**** when ODLH was given the decision over Sweet Pea!!

 

Those were hard damaging body shots that shook Lara to his roots. You can see by Lara body language that every body shot hurt him.
