You have not done much thinking at all! Or just have no idea. In these day of custom gloves they would just have them made will all the weight in the wrist and no padding.

I don't agree with the OP but there should be a standard glove that is used across all governing bodies.

There should also be a standard international governing body like pretty much every other sport.

it would lead to greater injuries, more trauma and more problems down the line. Terrible, terrible idea.

People would get smacked about for the entire fight as opposed to having a quick finish earlier on.

    Just look at Blackwell.

They should make it 12 rounds of shadowboxing, and then the judges can decide who looked the best in their eyes. no or very little damamge to the fighters that way (a pulled muscle is always possible, or someone uppercutting himself while shadowboxing), and very little chance at braindamage.
Then MVC can cream his pants on someone doing a 100 shoulderrolls and regularly displays the philly shell, and afterwards complain about him not winning showing off the best defensive moves, while his opponent was only punching air.

i believe purists (like myself) like all forms of boxing i love fighters like rigo loma, Crawford and andre ward just as much as froch gatti, AJ and maidana

but making bigger gloves to lessen knickouts will only hurt the sport as why would the casuals tune in who want to see a war? plus TV will drop to only the elite fighters to be on TV so no money will be in it the sport in order to even take it up, yes the fans who like the sweet science as you say will tune in but you would miss out on about 80% of the causals that would tune in, that would ultimately go to UFC for blood and knock outs

Better idea is just ban hard hitters from the sport. When fighting have those sensor pads that can tell how hard you have been hit. If anybody goes too high they are DQd, have to give up their purse and banned for 2 years. Power has no place in a sport like boxing

Wilder throws the perfect circular windmill. The equation for centrifugal force is Fc=MV2/R. M = mass, V=Velocity and R=radius. The higher the mass the more force is imparted.... I see where we are going here.
