Prograis-Taylor debate

I'll give it a listen, cheers. Aye I agree, he seems like a really sound dude, I've became a bit of a fan of his. That's how I don't buy into the idea of him trying to swerve Taylor, he seems as real as they come. If it was anybody apart from Josh Taylor he was fighting I'd be supporting him to win, there's a lot to like about him, as a boxer and also how he comes across. But since he's fighting The Tartan Tornado, I hoping he gets KTFO.

I've got tickets, will be supporting Taylor but he's got a real tough fight here. He will have to box and move, but trade on the inside when Prograis mauls him. True 50/50

 

Of all the upcoming fights, this is the one I'm looking forward to most. Very hard to pick a winner, which of course is a big part of the appeal. Rooting for Josh though.

 

Yeah it's a very interesting fight as we don't really know how it will pan out.

I certainly think Taylor will make the first move or try be the aggressor.

Prograis countering in singles with low output will require him to be very accurate with his shots. Judges could prefer Taylor's workrate.

Very intriguing fight and up there with Ruiz - Joshua 2 as the most interesting fight left this year. More so than GGG fight.

 

Taylor can attack without been countered from Regis but he has to take Regis tempo away from him he can do this by been successful with the speed he has.
Taylor just doesn't seem as durable to me, should they have it out in a dog fight for most of the bout.

 

Agree spartacus he needs to try speed regis up imo find out if he's got the gears to go up.If regis has got the chin and the will josh is in deep here.

 

I think at times Taylor can be a little square which he needs to address. I recall Postol hurting him a little and him getting clipped at times with his chin exposed. He's very good at rolling under shots in the pocket but often leaves himself wide open here. Of course, this is sometimes a result of him working the body which he is really, really good at. I don't think Prograis would have some across someone who works the body like this at all. But to do so, he needs to get in range which is something Prograis controls very well. He's fast and he has excellent reaction speed, which means Taylor's traps will need to be perfect should be elect to use them. I'm not entirely sure that Taylor is physically stronger than Prograis. I know he's bigger, but Prograis is strong as Hell (if memory has served me correctly that is).

It's an excellent fight, it truly is.

 

Taylor is legit world class, he can mix it up on the outside and the inside, he’s got power and he’s got a serious chin on him. It’s that chin that’s going to be his undoing imo. He’s let his ego take over at times and got himself into a fight instead of doing what he does best and that’s boxing intelligently.

Prograis is a very special talent, and I back him to step up to 147 and become a force in that division, too. He’s so slick, great jab, his footwork is exceptional along with his lateral movement and angles. The big thing for me though is his punch accuracy and I can see Taylor with the crowd roaring him on, trying to drag Prograis down to the trenches, opening up and getting caught with the body shots.

The chin might be cast iron but I think Prograis is going to chop the tree down with kidney shots.

 

I find Taylor very dislikeable ...love to see him get a good hiding! War prograis!

As a Scot I'd love Taylor to win but i have a feeling that Prograis will just edge it on the basis that he is very good at hit and run . Could be something like the Leonard Hagler fight with Prograis as Leonard, and perhaps cuts being a factor for Josh. Hope not though
