This. Apparently Indongo didn't get paid in both the Troyanovsky and Ricky Burns fights. He got paid in the Crawford fight, so something tells me Indongo learned the hard way on how to get paid when you aren't a major name in boxing. When I heard that Indongo had to pay over $100,000 in sanctioning fees in the Crawford fight I should've put two and two together that he'd start diving in title matches in the future.
Do not believe for a second that was rigged but Indongo was so poor, it might have well as been. Pointless either way. Learned nothing about Prograis, other than he has swag. Not sold just yet.
That was a fluke KO as well vs troya... Crawford is p4p number 1 for many and I will never understand why, he beat nobody who is B+ or above
I don't think so. If you are getting paid to throw a fight, you don't throw Sunday punches like Indongo was, because one of them might land. When you are paid to throw a fight you just love tap your opponent (Walters-Lomachenko) He just looked like a shot fighter, when the balance is gone, it's over. Look at Salido vs Roman. Indongo is old, (probably older than 35) Severely weight drained Living in a new culture and experiencing new training way late in life And a last-minute replacement.
With hindsight it's kinda funny that Indongo was seen as a bit of a dangerous road warrior after the Troyanovsky and Burns fights. I doubt we'll be seeing him in any high level fights again. And the fight wasn't rigged. Indongo was just all over the place and wanted out of there after he was hurt.
Nah...Indongo just took a jab on the chin in the perfect spot. It was a wild fight and he was hurt before the jab knocked him down. He just never recovered and continued to try and throw bombs to blast Regis out of there when his legs were not completely back.
It definitely looked strange, this guy was going over from everything. However I do think Prograis hits hard and Indongo couldnt hack it.
