Ya might have not wanted to say his name or didn't think you had a reason to but now you do. Top notch fighter with no social media rambling b*llsh*t! Nobody at 140 wants these problems, including Josh Taylor!
I agree with your praise of Prograis, except to note that he and Taylor already fought - razor close decision for Taylor, in a great fight.
Programs for beaten soundly by Taylor. If Catterall wins the rematch, Programs will have Catterall problems.
Still a cornball, but one must award him a kudos for what was a fairly complete performance after those first couple posturing feel-out sessions.
He's improved his jab. Doesn't throw the double jab from out of range as he used to which is also good. Gets hit way too often. His head movement is good but sometimes falls into very predictable rhythm. Needs to work on broken rhythm to further improve
I thought Taylor was in control of that fight - until the last couple of rounds. Prograis was outworked badly until the championship rounds.
Zepeda is excellent offensively, but Prograis tamed him with superb boxing and movement. And Prograis's power makes your offense something of a calculated risk. Prograis's performance against Chon, an absolute world class operator, illustrates just how good an in shape, dialed in Josh Taylor is.
Except he already beat him dumb ass .. cope.. he also beat the guy who gave Zepeda his first proper loss.. Ramirez.. Taylor is going to 147 after Caterall, not to avoid Regis but because he's getting older and will find that weight more comfortable
Prograis and Taylor are undoubtedly the best at 140. Even their fight was too close and you could have had it either way. We really need to see a rematch between these two.
You have to throw jack into the mix as well. His fight was extremely close with Taylor and most had him beating him. The Taylor-prograis rematch should've happened years ago. I have no idea why there was never a demand for that rematch???
