What foreign fighter? Pacman?

Again, you make the claim that American fighters are clipsed by their foreign counterparts, but that simply is not true in the WW. (which is what this thread is about.)

Cotto is from P.R.
Margarito is from Cali.
Shane is from Cali.
Berto is from Florida.
PW is from NeckBreakinAiken, SC.
and Clottey is from The Bronx.

Zab is from Brooklyn, Quintana and Cintron are from P.R....

Who is showing these guys up in the Welters?

 

My point was that Berto shouldn't be thrown in against Mosley, and that American fans shouldnt push him too early, yes the WW division is strong for Americans, Cotto, Margarito, Clottey, Quintana, and Cintron would hardly class themselves as such, however.

 

Most Puerto Ricans I know consider themselves Puerto Ricans first. But that doesn't stop them from being from an American territory. Americans have always accepted Hispanic boxers as their own, as they usually have mmore true fans in this country than any other group. And Margarito can claim what he wants, but his ass was born in Cali. Same with Clottey. He is Ghanan, but he has been living in the Bronx forever, and that's where he fights out of.

 

How is this turning to race? This is the last thing that should be on peoples minds right now.

 

I agree. Someone tried to make the point that Quintana, Cotto, and Margrito don't consider themselves American... for the purpose of saying that Americans are being shown up in boxing by foreigners... Which is clearly not the topic of this thread.

 

Dude, you are the same guy that says Clottey beats both Cotto and Shane. What the **** does Clottey do so good (besides cover up) that makes you think he can beat both these guys???
