Exactly, I only have a small list of fighters who I believe can beat Golovkin Ward, Froch, Kessler and Martinez Prime Martinez would bust out a decision over GGG but seeing as he has been again a bit recently I think GGG would get the decision himself, Ive seen the Dirrell-GGG Am fight and not much has changed from Dirrell's style and mix that in with 10oz gloves and no headgear and we could well see another academy award winning performance.
Id like to see Proksa go after Barker for the Euro title and then try his luck with either Geale or Quillin (lets face it, Quillins going to win the WBO) That being said though I believe Proksa is better suited for Junior Middleweight
I enjoyed Golovkin's performance as well but I've grown to be very sceptical of hyped boxers who are yet to prove their quality against A-level opposition. From what I've seen, Golovkin has the style to beat Geale but then, I don't rank boxers on what might happen but what they have actually achieved.
Well Ive been hit with enough hard shots to know when someone hits hard Each to their own I suppose but theres been talk of Geale dropping the WBA to fight Sam Soliman . . . . Sam ****ing Soliman instead of Golovkin, that tells me all i need to know right there
I think we have to wait until we've seen more of Golovkin before that can be considered a 50/50. A fight with the versatile Pirog would go a long way to judging GGG's position in the grand scheme of things.
It might be one of the best divisions. Martinez the champ Pirog's HNN Golovkin Quillin Geale Chavez Khurtsidze *Proksa *Sturm *Macklin *D.Baker *Special choise Jermain Taylor if he can reprime.
Proksa just isn't that good. He's probably be a better fighter if he was orthodox or shelled up like an Abraham or someone like that, but he lacks the fluidity and athleticism to be effective with the style he currently has. He wants to fight like Donaire or Jones but he doesn't have the physical abilities of either of those two. He's far too easy to hit. The loss to Hope wasn't a fluke. He was outboxed and deserved to lose against a journeyman for a reason. He's just lucky that Hope is featherfisted or he'd have been stopped. Proksa may be better than Hope but there really isn't a lot between them.
GGG has my respect more than anyone 154-168. He already humbled Canelo and Jr in sparring and beat Bute and Dirrell in the ams and anyone thinks GGG is overrated when he's got those credentials I only shake my head. Proksa had that loss, but he avenged it, took care of business. Had it been any other MW Proksa would of given them a hard nights work. GGG was supposed to struggle at least abit, but he just steamrolled over Super G. I knew GGG would win, but not this effortlessly! Total domination and anniliation of a good fighter. Only other fighters that might of stopped him are Maravilla, possibly Froch, but not with the clinical precision and coolness of GGG. He looked like a MW version of a prime Chavez. not slowpoke, lazy Jr.
Khurtsidze and Zbik should be in there instead of those bum Aussie's. His family is Russian, Golovkin is a Russian name and he isn't Muslim (which Kazakhs are). There are lots of Russians and Ukrainians in Kazakstan like Jirov and Dychko for example.
