Hello, I am looking for some information, in boxing how do promoters go about signing fighters ? How do they find/acquire new fighters ? and what about managers how do they find new fighters to manage ? Finally in boxing obviously there is the fighters trainer, manager & promoter but is there anyone else behind the scenes that is part of a boxers 'team' ? Thanks Garry
usually the manager puts an ad in the paper. you know, in "adam looking for steve" section. usually it says something like "looking to bend one over". then they buy a huge supply of **** and wait. then again, you come across more like "cussion" rather than the "needle" type of guy if you catch my drift. am i right ......gary...??:deal

Go to the Boxing Training/Amateur Boxing forum. There's a poster there, Dempsey1234, who has a thread that starts "I am a Boxing Manager" where he takes questions on this sort of thing. He responds regularly and should be able to give helpful answers and advice.
