How much percent do Eddie Hearn, frank Warren, Bob Arum etc take from their fighters purse. Apparently Arum takes 20% of his fighters purse?
Interesting question for sure. I wonder how much money Frank has made off of Fury and HOW much of a risk it has been. Wembley might have have been hard to break even given the purse. Prob done ok given the undercard!
This is a great question would love to know the answer, I started a sanctioning fee's thread a while back, didn't gain much traction. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/sanctioning-fees.682153/
Bearing in mind tickets on average were 450 quid x 94000 that's 42 and half big ones, purse bid covered, then PPV etc to cover everything else, Big Frank probably made about 30m then take off the cost of staff, security, fencing, undercard fighters, hotels, emergency services etc etc etc he probably finished the night with 18-20m.
Miles off. The 450 average may have been tout prices. But the average on a Wembley show is usually around £70. Fight would have turned a small profit at best. by small I mean relative to the outlay
20% is standard. Some fighters turning over for Hearn like yafai will be on a minimum purse and monthly salary. He will run at a loss until atleast 10-0. once the PPV fights kick in with AJ or Whyte under Hearn. He then cuts the 20% they co own the show and they split profit. Fir instance standard fighter gets x and gives percentage away to promoter. bugger stars will move to PPV. Promoter puts the initial outlay in. Deducts from the show. They then split profit 80/20 or 75/25
Actually no you are right, I would say its still north of a 70quid average but I misread the top price when looking into it. Not sure how to enter a picture on here so il just link the page. https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/boxing/fury-whyte-ticket-prices-wembley-23252120
I thought boxers get all their purse and it's just that the promoter takes out the profit on top after paying off all purses.
