TMT & SMS Signed Andre Dirrell in 2012. Then 2013 came along. Then Floyd & 5 Dimes split up, so 4 dimes & ten copper Curtis took Andre. Here he is in August talking about an upcoming bout hopefully by November This content is protected Here he is in November talking about next year This content is protected From 2012-2013= 1 fight. By 2014, he was no longer saying he was with the best minds, the best business dealers. https://www.mlive.com/sports/flint/2014/07/andre_dirrell_splits_from_50_c.html By 2014 he left and got with Al Haymon. As much as he is loathed, it would be through Al that he got 3 fights and then Degale. TMT screwed him. SMS blackballed or not, failed him. IMO from 2011-2014 there was no one Andre fought to prepare him for Degale who in the previous 2 years had 6 compared to Andre's 3. I thought then and now Andre was more talented, but as a reflex fighter, one can't sit out for years, take on a couple foes & be ready for a title shot. Shaky chin and all, I think he missed his chance due to **** poor bad management. Add on a hate-affair with Floyd & Curtis Jackson, put the nail in the coffin. Going into the Uzcategui in 2017, he had 1 fight in '15 & 1 in '16. IMO not enough for the style of Dirrell. He is scheduled to fight in Canada next month against a Juan Cabrera who is 1-2 in his last 3 bouts. This fight means nothing. His window has closed. No chance at winning a major title. Door is shut for Hall Of Fame Status. At best he can be a gatekeeper for SMW IMO due to miss opportunities caused by **** poor promoting.
Mick Hennessy did a terrible job with Carl Froch and failed to get the best deals for Fury as his promoter.
John Ryder is a perfect example His style is great to watch but he never promoted as well as other fighters are, if he is not tied in with his current promoters he should consider his options I think he would do well in america
This one for sure. I know Eddie claims he made Kell Brook a household name but I can't think of a fighter whose career has been managed/promoted so badly and he was still on big shows and PPV. He left Warren as he wasn't getting an opportunity though he was mandatory to Pac. He went to Matchroom only to be matched against Matthew Hatton and in Eddie's multiple world title eliminators. The Carson Jones fight happened and Eddie said he will have to go through another eliminator. Then the injuries started to happen and many thought he would be steamrolled by welterweight Devon Alexander who then opted to fight Shawn Porter and lose. Going into the Shawn Porter fight he had to go to the US where again most expected him to get steamrolled. Coming out with a decent win with Porter Eddie got hime soft touches on headlining shows. This is all while chasing an Amir Khan fight. Then came the Jo Jo Dan's and Kevin Bizier level world title defences while chasing Amir Khan again. Then sold out against GGG. I know Kell has probably made good money but really his ceiling was much higher as a fighter
