This content is protected Fury had it on the head, Eddie Hearn wants the limelight more than his own roster Weird When his fighters have all been wiped out we'll get Eddie as the main event. His golden goose is on his last legs.
Without Hearn and Paul, the viewing figures for Taylor Serrano would have been a lot lower. Hearn does like the limelight / camera, but it's the reason why he's been able to put main events like Whyte Rivas and Chisora Parker on PPV. If there's anyone who likes the limelight more than Hearn, it's John Fury.
We live in an era where people are addicted to attention. It's a sad state of affairs but thats all on social media.
Hearn is a snake and mismatchroom/rematchroom is turning more and more into the clown promoting company.
Hearn’s hair plugs need to be renewed. He is the only boxing promoter who spends more time promoting himself than he does the actual fighters.
Nearly 1m views in a day - wow! Hearn and Paul are not only the best two promoters in boxing, but they're also two of the biggest draws that have put women's boxing on the map. Put on the best card of the year so far, gave their main card fighters fabulous promotion in the build up, paid them their biggest purses and setup an even bigger money making event for all involved with the rematch. Young Edward also gave his 1-0 novice Cheavon Clarke a nice little PR push. Only bitter twisted c#$ts could hate on what Hearn does.
If you search "face off serrano taylor" in YouTube (as I just did, for the sake of experiment) and check the stats alongside the search results, you'll notice that Eddie and Jake's edition has more than twice as many views as the edition featuring the 'pioneering stars' they're ostensibly promoting.
I know nothing about Paul other than that he’s famous for some YouTube nonsense. I vaguely thought he presented videos for kids like that blippi guy. I determinedly paid zero attention to the celebrity exhibition play fights he does except to note that it’s remarkable that he manages to get such a lot of attention for them. As a promoter for real fights, on the limited evidence he’s provided so far, he may act like a clown but he knows what he’s doing and is a skilled carnival barker. Him and Hearn did a lot to turn last night’s fight into an event, something that felt like a big deal to the broader casual market even before the fighters got in the ring. if I’m in Serrano’s place and I once got paid 1500 dollars to defend a world title and now am getting a million for a championship fight headlining MSG with a multiple of that for a rematch on the way, I’d be perfectly happy for my show off new promoter to hog as much spotlight as he wants as long as the money is flowing.
It used to be only TV and newspaper that offered the means for the views etc of promoters, boxers etc to be publicised, now in our digital era we got social media, YouTube and a plethora of other outlets to do this. So yes everyone is a 'star' be that Hearns, Paul, John Fury and not forgetting the healed one David Diamente.............Diamante. Oh even the boxers themselves use these outlets, like that shy retiring fellow who rarely talks and has low self esteem etc, Tyson Fury i believe he is called.
Promoting himself and stroking his own ego! He might as well be naked and jerking off in front of a mirror! ERGH!
Which would generate attention and word of mouth, hyping a fight. I hate boxing promoters. Non-promoters is what they are. Boxing has been surpassed in America by mma because Dana White went out there and hustled selling his product to everyone who would listen. Lazy ass boxing promoters just put fights together and expect their boring brain damaged fighters to do all of the advertising themselves. Look at what Jake and Logan Paul have been able to do with their little youtube channels. Arum and the rest of them should be ashamed to be upstaged like that by amateurs. This is an entertainment medium. They should be booking their stars on talk shows, dancing with the stars, and making WWE appearances like Floyd Mayweather Jr. did. They should be riding elephants through town squares with bullhorns wearing electric pink suits with fireworks going off everywhere. Do whatever you've got to do to get some eyes on your cards and put asses in seats!
