here, nacho is saying that there is no way jmm will be ready to fight in april and the earliest he can fight, if he started training this week, is mid-may.

presumably, thats snow-boarding.

if trout was going to fight on may 4 it would be pretty irresponsible of him to be out snowboarding and risking injury.

anything other than kirkland or trout against canelo and the wbc should just strip saul already.

Aren't Floyd's training camps 8 weeks? It's about time to start unless he wants no lag time between his pressers and camp

and the chances of him fighting anoyne other than guerrero or lara(in camp for vanes) is also low because no one of the caliber of jmm/paq will take this fight on 10 weeks notice as their will be compromised between trying to make weight and trying to properly prepare.

but you cant say the same for everyone else. not to mention that floyd has sparring partners, camp in lv, accomodations and his trainer.

a guy like james kirkland is not set-up to prepare for floyd on such short notice because he doesnt have the team in place or on retainer.

 

Very rarely do fighters train for three months. 8 weeks is the time frame always given by fighters and trainers for how long they prepare for a championship fight. Sometimes even top notch fighters will have full training camps of only 6 weeks. 10 weeks is just about as long as I've ever heard of a training camp being (with the exception of the frequently used "I'm always training, I'm always in shape").
