Strength training and training camp are entirely different things. JMM was doing strength training and possibly conditioning for weeks prior to beginning training camp.

The large majority of training camps are no more than 10 weeks (at most). Overtraining is very real. 6-8 weeks of high intensity is more than enough of training camp. Conditioning can begin before the 6-8 week period.

Conditioning refers to running and muscle building, etc.

I think you are right but I think he went further than just saying he is older but more about his inactivity too.

I don't think it's a major problem for Floyd in any case as he was doing serious training before Xmas last year.
