Anyone promoting Kessler other than his current promoter is a great idea . I want to see Kessler vs some real opponents , this guy is in his prime and its really a shame we haven't seen him against some world class opponents since Calzaghe.

Would be great for Kessler, and Calzaghe. If Kessler goes on to beat some big names, will prove that Calzaghe was the man!!

Any change is better than nothing. At least Joe would have a personal interest in creating a great legacy for Kessler (it would further his own legacy) so it could definitely work out well.

The thing is that Mikkel have to get rid of Palle first and foremost.. he's probably giong to court and if he wins Joe Calzaghe could be a good promoter, because he respects Kessler, unlike a certain Palle. Joe Calzaghe have a name and he is smart, i think he could give Kessler the fights he needs to become a more recognized boxer

team palle did kessler a huge disservice in terms of regenerating his career after his loss to calzaghe by keeping him out of action for so long and entering into copious legal tussles with him in the time in between. it created the appearance, to anyone who is not really deeply following world boxing news that mikkel was as derailed by losing to calzaghe as jeff lacy had been before that. team palle really dropped the ball...they ought to have had kessler back in the ring soon after his first career defeat against as good competition as possible to make the statement, 'yeah, i lost my 0, but i fought well in a competitive fight with a world class, long time champ and i'm nearing my peak and i am storming back...encouraged by the losing effort, not ruined by it.'

team palle let the potential fight with miranda fall off the table twice...and that would have been, very likely, an easy fight for mikkel with good name recognition and little threat in miranda based on how bad a style matchup that would be for miranda. these idiots have let mikkel languish in inactivity for far too long. they matched him up with dimitri sartison and danilo haussler...patsies for victories that do nothing for mikkel's sharpness, competitive edge or confidence. kessler knew he was in with no-hopers and treated them as such.

team palle is squandering kessler's prime...calzaghe couldn't possibly do a worse job than they have, so let him have at it.

Well, IF Calzaghe can make a deal with UK and US television, it's good for Kessler. Other than that and that anything is better than Palle, Calzaghe has no promotional experience, the Roy Jones fight did poor at the gates and PPV, his connections are weak, and to fight the biggest names, he'd have to do deals with rival promotions like Hennessy, Universum, Golden Boy, DiBella, Interbox etc.

Kessler needs someone like De La Hoya behind him who guarantees top US TV dates, has the international connections to get UK, maybe German and obviously Danish TV deals and put asses anywhere in the world from Denmark through Germany to the UK, USA and Canada. And don't forget the political power to protect Kessler from foreign disadvantages.

Kessler has the looks and all the tools to be an international star, a very popular face, and I think Golden Boy is the caliber of promotions he deserves. Mikkel needs to get away from Palle as soon as possible, it's all wrong for him. F*ck Palle. Throw them a percentage of Kessler's next non-Palle promoted fights to shut them the f*ck up.

If I was Golden Boy Promo I would wake up and get in there now before Kessler makes any commitments elsewhere. De la Hoya knows better than anyone what a good skill and handsome looks is worth.

But they have to get a move on.

    Perfect for Kessler,

Calzageh knows how to risk manage hes being doing it his whole career.

Expect a rematch with Sartisan later down the line for the WBA title.
