Is Diaconu's ballsack covering your view during that Trinidad fight? Did The Shark eat your brain?

Trinidad was tagging him easily early in that fight. This is an inactive welterweight. Jones has no foot movement anymore, he just covers up in a defensive shell and Calzaghe will be all over him.

By round 10 he will be gasping for air, if he lasts that long

I believe Jones would not want to fight a prime Calzaghe either.

Roy was very selective about who he fought - cos he is a intellgient man and he wanted to pick and choose his fights carefully.

Roy has never been someone who would fight someone - "anytime anyplace anywhere"

Roy has never been in the sport to be a mug and get bashed up for the entertainment of the crowd.

Roy took the James Toney fight because he knew his style "had him beat" - same with the John Ruiz fight.

Taking a hungry young lion and high energy fighter on in Calzaghe in his prime would not have been a smart move for Roy - he didnt need him.

Now of course Roy does not call the shots anymore like he use to.

Calzaghe is the biggest fight and biggest payday out there for both of them.

All I will say about this fight is - it is happening 10 years too late.

This fight should have taken place in 1998 not 2008.

and its better late than never I suppose - it will be surreal to see Calzaghe and Jones finally sharing a ring.

And also Jones has slipped - too much - the Tito performance was against a naturally small guy - Calzaghe is gradually slipping too - but I think he will get the better of the argurement here.

The Sharks probably taken those too aint he? :-(

What about The Romanian? Does he get slapped to death and mercifully stopped by the ref, or simply lose 120-106 to Calzaghe?

Man you are crotchity today. Calm down but if it ever happened Diaconu would slaughter the welshman within a few rounds. Calzaghe would look like a bad claymation figure:yep Aside from this Joe has only seen a fraction of Adis power in Kessler, and trust me Adi won't get stage fright either as Kessler did. This would be a brutal massacre that honestly I wouldnt want to see as I've stated before I like Joe I just don't love him the way some do on here
The only way Joe wins a descision is if someone chops both of Adis arms off
Byron Mitchell and Ol Popkins floored him, if Adi connects it's all over with for the Unified Cardiff Ice Rink Champion. Bet the farm son:yep

You had to go there didnt you:-(

edit:Well maybe Joe and the ref beating up on Adi, then its about 50/50, the ref probably at least knows how to throw a punch with some conviction....****ing slapper

I have been telling people here on this site since the death of BOXING.COM (rip) that Jones' camp offered Cazlaghe a fight back in 1999 or 2000, and it was turned down with Warren telling the people at HBO that the offer was peanuts, and Joe didnt fight for peanuts. Its old news to many of us in the States, those of us that read Ring. Joe was quoted many times making comments like that about Jones.

And to the guy that stated that Jones made those kinds of comments about Joe I would beg you to show us......Cuz that isnt Jones' style. I know that he said something about Joe being a great fighter but that was leading to the signing of this fight.

I wouldnt go so far as to call him a coward, I think that he was saying that he felt that he would likely lose and wanted to be paid...Now the amount of money it would take for him to have taken the fight back in those days would have matched the budgets of many small nations:hey

  wow TFFP you are seriously deranged...you're right Adi would fear the all powerful Joe Calzaghe who is almost always off balance, slaps and has been punished before by less powerful figthers when he makes a mistake. Joe Calzaghe would make Adrian Diaconu look like a prime Roy Jones Jr... Theres no chance of Joe fighting any serious LHW with power or ample skill in their prime....Joe is no idiot why else would he fight 2 old men in a row?

    I'll wait while you pretend

Once again Joe was offered a fight with Jones.

I would also add, anytime you take on a p4p top 3 fighter your taking a risk....Jones never gets credit for fighting Toney, keep in mind that Jones was a HUGE underdog in that fight. Toney at the time was with Chavez and Whitaker the top three fighters in the world, the order depended on who you were talking about.

To make the comment that Jones picked his fights carefully and not say the same about Joe only shows us that your post is totally bias. I dont think that anyone outside of the UK would say that Joe has fought better fighters then Jones:hi:

What is your answer to this TFFP? Is it possible to stick to the thread topic? Or havent you got a decent excuse for your man lover? Don't worry about Diaconu just worry about how your hero suffers his first loss. Your ignorant slander and avoidance of the thread topic only shows your own fear for your heros "0" going to the shithouse

That ****in Diaconu can't box man. He walks forward like a plodding idiot. He makes Kelly Pavlik look like Willie Pep with that horse ****. What does he actually do? He's not very tall, not very impressive length or jab. He isn't a good counterpuncher. He's just a walk forward basic plain as eggs brawler, the sort that Calzaghe will Lacy, he doesn't struggle with these types

Why do you think he struggles with Chris Henry? Chris Henry..ask yourself. Isn't he a WWE wrestler? If this was my boy all sorts of alarm bells would be going off after that showing

His power is overrated too. He's cleared every single supermarket in Bucharest and Quebec of tinned tomato cans and it's still not a great KO ratio. They have to take these tins straight off the production line he's going through them so fast.
