Proof Dave Parris is a poor judge,

He had a bad night at the office, it happens to most of us. Overall Parris was been an A* ref for a number of years, and has gone about his business with class and diginty.

I do not think he is corrupt, I doubt anyone has evidence to disprove this, thus surely we should give him the benefit of any doubt?

And that does not mean forget his poor performance, it means continue to observe him over a period of time, in EVERY fight he referees and/or judges to make sure his overall standard is excellent.

 

i like alot of fans on here and other believe he is a terrible judge / ref , his scores rarely match up with other but the BBBof C never drop him

 

Fixing up Khan's "win" over Barrera is by far the worst of his crimes.

How many of Parris' performance do we actually witness? He is an A* star ref and in the most popular area for boxing, so I suggest he gets on a lot of bills, many of which, are not filmed.

The BBB of C, although far from perfect, generally do a good job, and for the moment I see no need to think they are not judging Parris' work on the same standard of his peers.

I am basically a Marxist, I would love for you lot to show me evidence that the BBB of C is corrupt, and I would try and lead that bandwagon to destroy them, if that prove was there, but for the moment, I do not see it.

Sure, there are isolated incidents of poor judgement and refereeing, but I do not see institutional corruption in the BBB of C, so their judgement of Parris should be respected.

 

Nobody mentioned corruption.

 

So why the thread? Parris is clearly capable if he became an A* referee, so who are we to question him?

Yes, we have every right to have a different opinion, but this does not prove he is wrong, which is what the original poster asked for, in the title of this thread...

 

Problem is its a bit **** for Parris that he ****s up on all the big cards and none of the little ones we never see.

I can understand the officials slipping up now and again but he has slipped up many times scoring fights way off what the majority score them and has made some questionable refereeing decisions. maybe he is just unlucky and has made mistakes when all the eyes are on him but still if it keeps happening then its at least worthy of the board looking into it (properly).

If he is dodgy then do something about it. If he's not then address the issues to why he is seeing something different from everyone else. Do they need more training, do we need more refs to take the burden off the few that are used all the time etc etc

 

I agree, even the best can get better, if you do not think you can improve in whatever profession you have, then it is time to get out of there.

Everyone is entitled to make mistakes, the secret of a good pro is to learn from them. I am sure Mr Parris and the BBB of C know this.

 

I've seen Dave Parriss referee 3 fights:Tsyzu-Hatton,Rogan-Sexton 1 and Khan-Barrera,and in each one,he was absolutely incompetent.

 

well he is either an incompetent idiot or he is on somebodys payroll .Either way he shouldnt be near a boxing ring.t booze stop talking shite.

Dont know if I'm alone in this but I dont mind Parris as a ref. He makes mostly decent decisions. Gets the odd one wrong but who doesnt.

BUT - I do think he is flawed as a judge. Literally if I see his name as the scoring entity I am simply waiting for the controversial outcome.

For the avoidance of doubt, I am no way suggesting any corruption. I genuinely think it would be too much of a risk for anyone involved to be corrupt (though I am not naive enough to think it doesnt go on, it does, just not in this instance in my opinion). He is simply incapable as a judge.

Sexton v Bayaar, McDonnell v Napa and Edwards v Bayaar are others that spring to mind.
