To all the pricks who say his hand wasn't broken... watch and shut the **** up... http://www.gm.tv/videos/star-guests/41161-heavyweight-boxing-champion-david-haye.html
in the 2nd he hit valuev flush that would have knocked out a building & valuev just shook his head like nah dont hurt....im sure that was when he broke his hand. Valuev is solid ! :good
He can`t prove what round it was broke but i believed he broke it when he said it because he`s never said it after any other fight and hitting that big ****er not surprised. It could hamper his career though.
Sorry, I didn't see any proof in that video that the hand was broken. My hands have looked worse just from rock climbing without breaking them.
If it's broken, why isn't it covered in plaster? It is badly swollen, but he bends it for the camera, so it shouldn't be too serious. Wish him a speedy recovery though, he should be back ASAP...
i'd put money on it being a break of the metacarpal just below the 5th proximal phalanx. a typical injury for a punching action.
the injury he probably has doesn't stop you moving your fingers from the proximal phalanx upwards. if you notice he couldnt clench properly from the knuckle.
What Proof? No cast, splints or surgery? Even if he had severe boxer's knuckle, let alone a broken knuckle in the area he pointed at, there should at least be a pinky splint and those little pieces of tape aint no splint. Buddy taping is occasionally used but then there should be two wraps and tighter. Moreover, notice the way that he signed his autograph with his supposedly broken hand in the beginning of the video?:-(
He broke a metacarpal. The X Ray results were in a London evening paper today. If you break one of those small bones you don't need plaster, I got told I had fractured one a few years back after hitting someone on the top of the head as they moved in. The hospital taped two fingers up and said the fracture would heal itself so long as I was careful not to bang it again.
