Yeah but both of those guys were not stars of the sport back then. There was no 24/7. There was no hatred for FMJ, he wasn't in the public consciousness. To be honest, he shouldn't get $40 million because this fight isn't going to be exciting. If you base pay off of entertainment value, it definitely isn't a Mayweather fight.

I mean remember the DLH fight? It was a huge PPV success. After the fight and spending my $50 on that P.O.S., I felt like a guy who went to a hooker and than after getting his rocks off, realized paying for sex is anti-climatic (no pun intended).

Void refused to fight Pac for good reason. If Mosely fights Void like Pac would have done he will win.

So what? Mosley demanded the Lions share because he felt he was the much bigger draw. Now that Floyd does it, it is bad? People tune in because of Floyd, whatever their reasons. No Floyd means these people don't watch. If you don't want to watch the fight because of the DLH fight, fine. Then don't watch, but don't determine what the man should or should not get because you don't want to watch and deem Entertaining.

How legit is this $10 million story?

That sounds like some fast and loose figure that popped out of God knows where.

I doubt we will ever have a remotely credible source for what the % or dollar amounts were for a potential Shane vs Floyd fight that far back.

Floyd can ask for whatever he wants and Mosley signed the contract. I have no problem with the money. Neither guy could have made as much in 1999 as they can today, that is certain.

The fight will probably not be entertaining. My whole point was that for entertainment value, Mayweather is robbing people. I mean the combined purse of both Vasquez-Marquez for their three fights isn't probably a quarter of what Mayweather is going to make. Those two fighters left something of themselves in the ring and entertained fans.

I know the counter arguments, "Mayweather doesn't have to fight like that, he is a defensive genius, yada yada yada". True but that doesn't make for great fights. Some guys were just as good if not better than Mayweather and still entertained fans.

If Mayweather loses, his value is going WAY down. People are watching HOPING he loses or gets KO'd. Once he loses, he can't back up his whole undefeated BS and people aren't going to pay to watch him fight.

David Mayo, Grand Rapids Press. Look up on Google: Shane Mosley $10 Million. Jack Mosley said $10 Million was what they wanted, and the story makes sense with the time line.

Mayweather undercut shane= Im happy because shane OBVIOUSLY is happy. He accepted the fight. He definately didnt have to. He never made a fuss. So if the fighter is happy with the money he is getting, how is a couch warrior not happy with the money that he isnt getting.

If floyd didnt want this fight he would have tried to throw in another stipulation or some **** like that.

Floyd fights are boring and not exciting = 90% of the people who say that, will still buy/watch/order his fights. So what does that make you, when you do that. Besides a jackass, donater to his salary.

It reminds me of the girls who cant stand me and always talk about me, then turns around and give me that *****.

Poor Shane. He is not big enough to reject Floyd's offer.

Anyone can write an article but how many people have credentials?

In your own opinion according to the past amounts of money Shane Mosley has made how much was Shane supposed to make.Do your ppv calculations because free meals dont exist in business,Mosley has a value and so does Mayweather

if this is the case (which it isn't) then floyd would have just done the same thing that pac did, which is after mosley agreed to all his demands, he still regected the foght.

i wonder why floyd is talking about making 40 million for this fight, he's taking just under 80% of the money. that floyd is a great business man aswell as a great boxer.
