OK not proof, before all you ***s jump on me, BUT when asked about the stoppage, he said: "I thought it was worse at the time" NOT "I was OK, I wanted to fight" :think I actually think he accepted it quite readily and then realised how minor it was when his corner kicked up a fuss. He definitely didn't show the doctor that he was desparate to carry on.
It was a no-mas ala Victor Ortiz and the he tried to act dumb as though he didnt know and wanted to continue. McCLoskey team did more post fight than Paul did during the fight.
Then why those comments and that reaction? I'm not saying its fact, I am questioning some things that didnt add up? You sound like you have an emotional investment. If you were rooting for McCloskey, obviously you will not agree unless he signs a confession.
McClouskey didn't quit, but you may have a point about him not arguing with the ref more because he might have thought the cut was a lot worse
he said,"i thought it was worse than i thought",not "it hurts i quit,im bleeding, pls someone stop the fight",you ****ing knobjockey
lets be honest, although khan was winning easily enough, mccloskeys awkward style made khan look average at times. this was a guy he was supposed to blow out within 3 rounds! without this cut it would have been an ugly points win, i even think mccloskey might have pushed a bit harder later on in the fight (possibly saving his energy for the later rounds when khan tires) team khan are money grabbing ****s who dont give a **** about their fans & im one potential fan he lost tonight. tim bradley will be licking his lips after watching that debacle.
Rob to be fair, anyone with even half a brain, would have been expecting McCloskey to go for the finish in round 8 or 9...very poor stoppage...first time ive seen a ref come out mid round for a cut that wasn't actually bleeding into the eye
Obviously no fighter says that atsch You're too emotional. When Alexander and Nate Campbell quit recently, they didnt say ":|:| I quit" but their body language and excuses spoke a thousand words.
