Proof Pay Per View Is The Big Money Earner, Australian Fighters Cashing In!

    For a long time we have heard the argument from fans that pay per view sucks and no one is going to buy this. But in Australia, it has been proven. If you can get a monopoly over the entire field. With all world class bouts being PPV, then the fighters can earn some big bucks. Rather different from Sturm and Abraham earning the big bucks on free to air in Germany, but still worth looking at.

    Green vs Mundine = $8 Million USD Revenue, $10 Million Australian
    Green vs Roy Jones Junior = Expected To Make More Than $8 million US, with a crowd of around 50 000 expected in Melbourne.
    Mundine vs Geale = I heard a big romour Mundine made close to $4 million from this fight, Australian dollars so around $3.4 USD. Which turns out to be:

    - More than my mans Tarver vs Dawson 2, entire purse.
    - Close to the entire purse of Pavlik vs Williams.

    So the Australians really have this worked out. They are earning some big dollars.

    Its called promoting.............Mundine is a MASTER at promoting himself and luckily for him Aussie is a big enough country for him to not have to risk himself fighting in anyone elses backyard.........theres also enough (just) quality guys in OZ for him to fight and local matchups sell big.

    Mundine VS Green (possible rematch down the line also)
    Mundine VS Geale
    Mundine VS Bika (might happen)
    Mundine VS Soliman
    Mundine VS Hamden
    Mundine VS Taylor

    Then add in bringing over the odd South American/US fighter he can create a Massive market and not need worry about fighting outside of his own market. He has promoted himself so very well.

    Danny Green has ot an extent but not to the level Mundine has.

    Green VS Jones Jnr. will sell because of Jones more than Green. But still a coup for Green to score the fight.
