    This kind of stuff happens all the time. You don't feel anything after an injury because of the adrenaline and the loss of pain stimulus. It makes you make stupid thing like testing a broken leg or an injured knee. My brother played a whole hockey game with a broken thumb and he only felt the pain an hour later.
