Pipino Cuevas although not overly muscled. is one of the most devistating punchers in boxing history. At the other end, look at Berto. huge muscles & not a big puncher.

Big muscles does NOT equate to big punching. There have been big punchers with big muscles for sure but that is co-incidental and not the main reason for their power. IMO big punching originates from the legs although of course there are other factors such as speed, delivery and timing, and quite a lot the time you either got it or you havent.

I found a website that tell you how a boxer should be built. It was written by a guy "from the street" hence, it often calls the boxer a "dog"

Given how short the boxer is supposed to be... i am guessing the writer is a Manny Pac fan.

One of the greatest PURE punchers that ever lived was a "bag of bones ' by the name of Lew Jenkins...So skinny that when he stood sideways, his opponents couldn't see him.
But Lew could hit..He kod the rugged Lou Ambers twice . Ambers was never kod before in 100 bouts...Lew had no muscles, but tell that to his ko victims !

Perfect example. Sanders had about the worst looking physique for a heavyweight puncher. He was flabby, saggy, and didn't carry much muscle mass or tone. But boy, could he ever hit!
