This seems to be on the tip of many people's tongues, and it should not be. He sacrificed a bigger payday and grander opportunity, to go and help his people in Haiti. I'm not sure how that qualifies as 'ducking'. :think

You say he sacrificed a payday but if he got whooped by Mosley then he would be sacrificing many future paydays. So he really saved future paydays and that is one reason fighters duck. :deal

berto and aydin are both hype jobs, Berto padded his record with cans in America while Aydin did the same in Turkey, if they fight we hopefully would be rid of one

That's not how it works. Aydin is the #1 contender going on 2 years. Aydin would stop Corley too. And Aydin is a better fighter then Hernandez.

Berto's level of comp is horrible and Clottey's blows him out the water.

And for the record the names you just listed for a WBC welterweight Champ is ****. Urango a limited 140 pounder who did nothing to deserve a shot at the title on HBO. Hernandez was a optional defense, not ranked in the top 10 by ring mag and slow as hell. 9-1 underdog and was no competition. Quintana was 34 years old and los his last WW fight by KO. Cherry???? Cosme Rivera was in 2007 !!! think about that. And Collazo his one good fight.

    Clottey has fought:
    Carlos Baldomir
    Richard Guiterrez
    Antonio Margarito
    Diego Corrales
    Zab Judah
    Miguel Cotto
    Manny Pacquiao

I think Aydin might be a bit better than Hernandez but they are on a similar level. I don't think Berto is ducking Aydin I think its a matter of ducking a fight in Turkey. Berto looks like he will probably have to face Aydin next and it is about time. Either here or Turkey he has to make his mandatory and the sooner the better. Berto will beat Aydin then he'll be free to face some better fighters. Berto needs to step it up and I think he does in 2011.

I'm no Berto fan and while I don't think Aydin beats Berto, Aydin would beat flames out of Hernandez.

Berto has been ducking tough competition period. He fought Cosme Rivera in 2007 for christ sake. Zab treated him like a scrub 2 years earlier. Cosme dropped Berto in the 6th with a nice uppercut. Berto goes on to fight scrub after scrub.

Adin is a nobody. Berto want the big dogs at 147 especially Pac. Berto's resume is actually pretty decent when you think about it. Urango, Collazo, Qunitana, Forbes, Hernandez and Rivera

The only guy I would like to see him fight is Collazo in the rematch. Berto didn't duck Mosley he pulled out with a valid reason. All this ducking **** is bull****. None of the big names will fight him.
