    Bert Cooper.got.schooled and knocked out by Carl Williams. Tyson destroyed Williams with one punch. Any more similarities I miss?

    Excuse the paste mistake!

    My point is that a fighter getting their purse withheld, is the sort of thing that happened in the 1030s, but does not happen now.

    I can't find out that information, probably higher ranked then Henry Tillman was when he fought Tyson on the same night Foreman was fighting the ranked Rodrigues?

    One of the first things you look at when assessing a fighter relative to their era, is their record vs ranked opposition (Ring Ranked only).

    Now if we disregard everything that Foreman did in his first career, then where does he realistically sit relative to the other lineal champions of the era, and why would we think that he was a serious candidate to beat Tyson?

    Record vs ranked fighters doesn't mean much when a fighters style suits the others down to a T.

    Foreman showed in all his major bouts during his comeback that he was a force to be reckoned with and was a dangerous opponent.
