German U21 soccer player tore abdominal muscle (doesn't specify which one of the three ab muscles). Doctor: "Has to pause for 3 weeks, then can start training again".

So this soccer guy can take part in soccer training after 3 weeks but Wlad can't play a round of golf after 2 weeks? I am not a medical professional neiter, just wondering why some wouldn't give Wlad not the benefit of the doubt.

Haye had a completely understandable motive to use an injury as an excuse. He wasn't afraid of Wlad, but he had problems getting paid that's all. Wlad has *ZERO* credible motive to duck Chisora. Absolute zero. In fact, "ducking" Chisora cost Wlad something like 250,000 EUR when fighting Chisora would have made Wlad millions of EUR in profits.

Wlads injury was his back though.

here is how it went down.

Wlad and Steward thought Chisora would be easy. they trained lightly. Only 3 weeks which has been rumoured elsewhere.

Steward saw Chisora training and realised he is slightly better than they thought.

Wlad and Steward go for there ONLY close to the press training session of the week and come out with a back injury.

I didnt say he ducked Chisora, in fact i didnt mention his name at all did i:think, common sense dictates that you shouldnt really be playing golf so soon after suffering a tear, as you may or may not know swinging a golf club involves rotation, that is one movement i would not want to be doing so soon after an injury.:good

he realised no benefit from fighting chisora.

possible big risk, but nobody thought this, and definate low reward,if he won and killed chisora,he beat up a novice. if he struggled,he looked bad vs a inexperienced guy with no good names on his record.

for haye hede atleast get big reward for big risk.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. I don't care what was "rumored". "Rumored" isn't fact.

Wladimir was in training camp at least as early as November 5th, maybe even a few days earlier...that gives at least 5 weeks until the fight was scheduled.

Does this look like someone who was training lightly? Not taking his opponent seriously?

wlad could easily fake an injury and get some dr to "confirm" it. dont be stupid to think he could not easily make it look like he really was injured.

what makes me suspicious if one manager, finkel, said it was a back injury, and the other-boente,said it was the ab tear.they cant even get thier stories straight.

they both gave a different time of recovery for the injury too.

maybe one was just stupid and didnt listen properly, and he was really injured, but maybe he was faking it and both managers didnt communicate to each other what the story was going to be.

It's actually between the back and abs...so for one to just generalize and say "back", and the other to say "abs"....I don't see anything suspect about that...neither one of those guys are Doctors...they are just relaying info that has been dumbed down to inform those who aren't physicians.

The severity of the footballers injury means he should have been out for three weeks. The severity of Wlad's means he should have been out for six weeks. Wlad was only out for two.

    That's the issue here.

The medical experts said Wlad must be out for six weeks yet he wasn't.

3-weeks, 6-weeks...those are all just estimates given, there is no set time table...it all depends
on how you heal, how bad the tear was, etc... It's going to vary from person to person even if
they had almost the exact same injury, same severity, etc...

Come on now Jack, I watch a lot of sports...especially NBA, and guys are always getting injured,
you hear they'll be back in 5-weeks, and it takes them 10-weeks. Or, you hear 4-weeks, and they
are back next week....it all varies.

The Dr said no sparring, that's a pretty rough activity to be partaking in....much more so than golf.

And like I said before, Just think about it: If it was faked, you wouldn't go out playing golf with a TV crew, that's for sure. Because you'd want to keep up
    the appearance of an injury.

The only way you would feel comfortable playing golf with a TV crew, is if of course the injury was legit, but
had healed enough to allow a round of golf.

To be fair Wlad looked in pretty good shape i thought, before the fight i reckon he had been through the motions of a proper training camp. But still no excuses getting caught playing golf he is banged to rights.

As I just posted: If the injury was faked, you wouldn't go out playing golf (with a TV crew right alongside!). Why not? Because you'd want to keep up
    the appearance of an injury.

The only way you would feel comfortable playing golf with a TV crew, is if the injury was legit, but had healed enough to allow a round of golf.

Or the only way you would fell comfortable playing golf would be if you didnt have a injury and it felt good when you were swinging the club and not wincing in pain.:D
