Get back to pure boxing? Boxing has always been the most political mainstream sport.

The 24 hour rule was brought in to help fighters re-hydrate. It is a lesser of two evils and rightly should stay in place.

There has always been and always will be grabbing, hugging et al, it is an art in itself. To take it out the game would make your 'pure boxing' statement even more paradoxical.

Smaller gloves is a good idea, but 15 round fights are anachronism, for the sport to go forward they cannot come back, indeed there will be more pressure to outlaw 12 rounders in due course.

Boxing is rightly about money. If a fighter can get more pay for fighting for some alphabet title, who are you to stop them?

As for 'Super Heavyweight': That will not sort the problem out, fighters will always fight where there is money to be made, no matter what the division.

As mention that is almost impossible to even define let alone regulate.

How is boxing not 'real'? You want it 'more real' get in the ring yourself...

As for 'just and exciting'; boxing politics for me is exciting, and if everything in the sport was just it would lose appeal. Injustices are what makes forums like this...
