Ok wilfredo vazquez you proved me wrong and i'll admit it here althought i think is more about sonsona not being as good as i thought. But for now i'll give you the benefit of the doubt and give you props. Another puertorrican champion, the smallest island of the big antilles in the caribbean but still you spit out fighters all the time. You didnt even fight in the amateurs and you're already champion at 24 lets see how long it takes those gold medal winners from cuba to win a belt. You need heart and a will to win, you dont have the phisical abilities or the natural talent but if you keep training and working hard you can go far. Congratulations and good luck dont get a big head. :hat
Props for sure. Hopefully they don't rush him into fighting the top dogs yet. Let him develop for a few more years so that he can reach his true potential.
Man wtf is with puerto ricans and boxing??? Do they do anything other than baseball and boxing? Both depend on hitting a moving object :yep
fighting is a way of life in the island, even if you dont box you have to learn to fight an a early age or you will get you ass kicked everyday :hat
Let me tell you, I was at the fight last night and the atmosphere was awesome. Congrats to Vazquez Jr, definitely worth more than the 20 bucks I paid for the ticket.
so,for a few more years he doesnt fight any good fighter and keeps defending his belt against bums?...good! i love this
I also thought he wasn't that good. Being here in Orlando, I've followed his career a bit and to tell you the truth he never looked that impressive. Maybe it was too early, his lack of AM experience, who knows, but very glad he did it. Add another champ to the list. Hope he keeps doing well, and actually better as time passes by.
so what u are saying is that you do not want a champion to take on the best fighters. i understand your point about him needing time to reach his true potential, but if that is what his handlers want to do then they should not have rushed him into a championship fight.
