I must admit that I thought DeGale would get smashed but he came through and much respect to him. I'm done with the Dirrell brothers, they have let me down for the last time.
Andre Dirrell has lost two fights, both against pretty good fighters. Both were close fights. It's hard to win them all. Despite losing, I thought Dirrell fought well.
Dirrell fought well tbf, Degale was awesome in those early rounds and then re-established himself in the last couple to take a close, but well deserved win.
Yeah, I guess you're right but I'm really disappointed because he has the skills. You win some and you lose some.
Congrats to him indeed, very good fighter. I think Dirrell did a good job also though. This fight is what boxing is about. Too very skilled Olympic medalist with speed and only 2 controversial losses between them. I think Dirrell wasn't used to fighting at this level because of his inactivity and he was relying on things that worked on lesser opponents. I don't think he's done yet, and if they were to rematch, I think he can make the adjustments to win. He controlled larger portions of the fight, but DeGale's moments were much better. DeGale should fight Froch and Dirrell should challenge the winner of Jack vs Groves. Abraham rematch would be great also, but the belt is being held hostage
So I guess that means you've been Blinded by the Light of The Dirrell Bros. for the last time. Sing It Manfred.
Credit to Degale, I thought Dirrell would win handily. Degale won a close one (that 117 - 109 card was bullspit), and Dirrell proved his resolve getting dropped heavy early and proceeding to go forward pretty much the rest of the fight. I don't think he should lose a lot off of this loss. That 10-7 round was just a bit too much to overcome
