[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ui6-Wc0PDc4[/ame] @ 2:10 is how i feel about mayweather getting props for signing the contract. if he's an ATG he's suppose to want to fight the best. he's suppse want to test his skills among the elite. why should he get props for doing something he suppse to? this goes for all for fighters not just pbf.
Listen to me. Okay. I AM NOT CRITICISING FLOYD FOR TAKING THE FIGHT.... ...It was an okay win against an okay fighter...nothing...else!
This would be fair sport if Floyd didn't also beat Judah just to make sure no one said exactly what you're saying now.
I only made the thread to see how his detractors would react...and they acted accordingly. I just feel it we're going to absolutely slaughter a guy for supposedly ducking challengers, then we should at least acknowledge he's made a postitive career move in fighting the best in his division. No props required.
Don't call me sport you mother****er. Don't even know who you are. I'd refrain from insulting you by calling you something like nipplefloss...but that appears to actually be your name. :huh Anyway, Floyd beating Judah has zero relevance to anything I've said regarding his fight with Baldomir. I've never questioned Mayweather's ability to clear up at 147lbs, a man of his talent is more than capable. That being said, I have only directed my disdain regarding the Baldomir fight at those who try and make it out to have been some legacy defining win, a huge feat. Belts were on the line, technically speaking, Floyd was fighting the best at 147, but we all know he wasn't and I hope to god common sense prevails.
notice at the end i said i all fighters are suppose to want to fight the best. i'm hating on mayweather. this goes for ray leonard for ducking aaron pryor, bowe ducking lewis, etc.
People are too quick to say a fighter ducked another fighter...there are a lot of factors when making a fight...mostly because of money, no one wants to fight for pennies
Leonard and Bowe fought the best in their division though? :huh I'm confused now. Let's talk about Mayweather, okay? Good stuff. First of all, you're right, fighters are supposed to fight the best and shouldn't need a pat on the back for doing it. That being said, how often do we see the best fighters in each division going at it these days? Not as often as when Bowe and Leonard were campaigning, that's for sure. Point being, if we're all content with tearing Mayweather a new ******* for fighting a Lightweight, then maybe we can at least say something along the lines of, "Cool, Floyd has surprised me, he's taking on a beast". ...Too much to ask? Fine.
