But what about those of us that scored the Hopkins/Calzaghe fight for Hopkins? So did several members of the media and press?

If Joe can make it past Roy Jones - the rematch is in order. Hopkins already said he would go to Wales so it shouldn't be a problem.

 

I think Calzaghe beat Hopkins but I don't think that puts him higher on the ATG list. I like Hopkin's resume better.

 

I can only assume people who scored the fight for hopkins over Joe were American, hence had their vision obscured by pizza boxes, burger grease on the tv screen, and gallons of choco milk cluttering the TV set.

Hence why anyone in shape saw Calzaghe clearly win.

 

I'd like to se him in with the Hayemaker David Haye myself, or even Nigel Benn... but hey

roy jones and james toney were far better smw than calzgahe, anyway the smw division doesn't have the history that the middleweight divsion has, hopkins will be compared to the likes of hagler, hearns and leonard. calzaghe won't even be mentioned in the same sentence as them legends.

im a british fan of calzaghe..and i though hopkins edged the fight..sure joes work rate was higher, but hopkins punches were more effective....close fight, but i thought b.hop edged it......still, prospect of a cracking rematch....


question....???..how does the rematch go if hopkins tries to fight in his new found 'aggressive' style.....

 

Jones was better, Toney was argzable better, yeah, but not greater. They lack the legacy Joe C. has there. Even Ottke is a greater smw than those two.
