Nobody would like Joe if he were american. The mother****er slaps. We find that **** funny. Everybody who seen the Bhop fight could not believe this mother****er. He will always be a UK fighter. They tried to make him mainstream with the Bhop fight but it backfired. Nobody is talking about that win, nobody gives him credit for this barrage a slap. Even those that seen the Mafredo fight. He is a clown.
Using some of these boxing fans logic, Dawson rates higher than RJJ because Dawson beat both Glen Johnson and Antonio Tarver.
Name the fighter? well its Hopkins himself of course and theres pics of Hopkins jaw being caught, body shots all over the place... and as stated, look at the punches landed and volume of punches, heavily in Joes favour by nearly double, you don't win a fight by dirty tactics, spoiling, and not working, let alone landing half as many as your opponent. Hopkins caught him with a flash knockdown, as Joe looked a little awe struck in the first 3 rounds, even the commentators said he was tense and not himself, until he dropped his hand, started dancing around Hopkins picking him apart, and round 10 where Hopkins was nearly out on his feet till he faked the low blow, the last minute was about teh only round he came close to taking since round 3. De La Hoya versus Hopkins was a joke, brave on De La Hoya's part, but as I said, you may aswell wheel Pacman, or Cotto in with Calzaghe then, it shouldn't even be listed on his resume it was such a mismatch. If you watched Eubank, you wouldn't have discredited him, even in his last few fights, he took on a vastly bigger Thompson and showed real heart, his fights with Benn and Watson, not to mention Collins, he was a great SMW, and worthy of a mention on Joes list, especially as you listed Tarver and De La Hoya!
You need to calm down on the Natty Bo mate :thumbsup The majority of people scored it in favour of Joe. I watched it live in Vegas and a good few times since, after round 4 Calzaghe won clearly. Hopkins couldnt find his corner 4 times and was holding on for dear life. 6 months later Hopkins put on a clinic against somebody who was supposed to knock him out. Hopkins hasn't lost any of the ability he showd against Tarver 2 years ago...it's just that Calzaghe confused him, out worked him and out hussled him. It really is time that Americans give Calzaghe his props.
Of course you would, you guys love mediocre, your whole country is based on it, from your clothing, your buildings, education, history, even your sports no other country cares about, all mediocre, so to have a champ like Joe, you'd be screaming '' I love you Joeeee'' dancing in your frilly Calzaghe laced knickers. Someones got a bee in their bonnet because Hopkins got beaten lolllllllllllll
English you are being over generous here. I understand you are behind your fighter but what you are making this into a financial discussion. The fact that Joe never made any big fights for as long as he has been fighting, for whatever reason, while many other world fighters do make those fights cripples his ATG status. Look at Lennox Lewis for example. If you really want world respect, like Lennox has, you need to travel to face the best. Calzaghe is making some good fights now, the question is are these fights made too late in his career to really count? I think this is a a resounding yes answer. I respect calzaghe and think he has great skill. I wish he would have been matched earlier agaisnt better competition. He was overly protected and his career is certainly winding down. His ATG status will always be questioned. I think he is definite HOF but where he ends up on the ATG board will be far lower than BHOP.
Hahaha, those Englishmen have some serious determination in spreading the myth of invincible Joe, the master tactician out of Wales. Funny.
Get out of here Herman. The best fighters out of Germany are Armenian and Ukranian. Then you have the biggest fraud of all in Sven Ottke.
