He has been brought up how a real prospect, who has a confident management will do. There are to many fighters, top level or prospects, in this heavyweight division who take no easy fights constantly. Look at Chris Arreola's recent opponents, Francisco Pianeto, Alexander Povetkin has some good wins but Rahman was a joke years ago, Alexander Ustinov, Adamak has only fought 2 legit guys, Manuel Charr, Mariusz Wach, Tony Thompson. I think Pulev has being doing more impressive work than these guys and whilst not enough to make him a clear cut number 1 contender. If he beats Ustinov he will have beaten Travis Walker, Ustinov, Dimentriko and Derric Rossy. Arreola's best win before his Vitali shot was over Walker. Now I'm not saying Pulev 100% deserves a shot as he's still a prospect to me but he's been fighting some capable guys recently and been looking solid. Ustinov isn't amazing or anything but once again he's dangerous. I like seeing management having confidence in there fighter.
