    Valero doesn't have the skills of Manny but he has a punchers chance, and given their styles there will be fireworks similar to Kelly vs Hamed in my opinion. Manny is taking a real no-win situation here given the fact that Valero doesn't a name outside of hard core boxing fans.

    But this is one for the fans.

    Thanks to Manny for taking an intriguing task here.

    I dont think Valero will be a no name fighter 4 long...24 fights 24 knockouts...I think the promoters will be able to work w/ that IMO

    On a skill to skill basis he is lacking in this department, but I think you will be happy when you actually watch this fight to see that Valero is a worthy challenger, especially given that the others are tied up right now.

    If its a stay busy fight, its the best stay busy fight I have seen in a long time. Valero used to train in Los Angeles and the pros around the area thought he was very worthy and had ferocious power from what I read at the time. There were even rumors on another site that Roach kept Manny away from him at the time when he needed work. Don't know the truth to it, but I am intrigued and happy he is getting a shot.

    I'd say theres more risk in fighting Valero then there is fighting Cambell, but thats just me. Cambel is a little over the hill I think and Valero can bring so much more intensity and power and hunger...maybe without as much skill but I think Valero has some good intangibles going for him and pac does deserve props for fighting this guy where its 100% risk and 0% reward...Although the reward he gets should be from the respect of the fans.

    I don't know why everyone is so upset about this matchup. It'll be a real good fight and Valero is very capable of giving Pac a difficult time. It'll definitely be better than Pac vs Diaz.

    Plus, I am definitely interested if Valero is as good as his record suggests.

    valero may be lacking in his defense but he sure made up for it in the offensive department. he may not be a good dancer like sweet pea looks for after each fighter but he can bang and that's what he is effective at.

    i'm tired of this one-dimensional **** being thrown around here on esb. that i-dimensional pac beat barrera and had a draw with marquez and a close-loss to morales. if that's what reminds you of valero, then this fight is extremely dangerous for pac.

    Though it is a high risk, low reward fight, it will be an explosive one.. Though Valero may be out skilled, he does have some dangerous power, but I do think this fight will be one-sided and a quick one.. However long it lasts though, it'll be exciting and much props to Manny for taking this kind of fight as I would have much rather seen Pacquiao vs Soto or Campbell..

    diaz instead of casamayor, now valero instead of campbell. :verysad ..i like pacquiao, but he is just going to school valero and it will prove very little.

    ...if i could compliment pacman, it would be for staying busy.
