Roids - and in particular Balco - obviously, obviously enhanced performance, otherwise, quite simply, the athletes and/or their coaches wouldn't have used it.

If Marg has the nerve to say he didn't know, I and I'm sure many others would just think of him even lower than we already do. As for the Balco It's known that they are not to sure what it can do for an athlete, an idea isn't enough. It obviously didn't enhanse Mosley's performance against Delahoya because if anything I still think Shane lost that fight. Shane fought ok in that fight but surely nothing spectacular to a point where people can say the Balco made him look amazing. It's well known Shane was body builder in high school and alot of body builders roid to make there body look a certain way.

Not all roids enhanse performance, some just for look. Body builders are a perfect example. James Toney is another example against John Ruiz. His performance was just as normal as any other Toney fight, however appearance wise his body looked like crap. Obviously his roids had nothing to do with his performance level. Another example is Fernando Vargas against Delahoya. Vargas fight wise looked pretty much the same, however appearance wise he looked VERY different. The roids Vargas used DIDN'T enhanse his performance, DIDN'T enhanse his chin, just his body and he ended up getting knocked out.

I just believe whatever Shane took wasn't to boost his chances, but don't get me wrong I don't like the idea of athlete's using substances of any kind. I was just trying to explain to that other clueless poster who has NO CLUE what he's talking about the difference between what Shane and Marg did. I think Marg's situation is far worse because it's obvious what those pads were used for.
