Rory is the best 170er in the world. Too bad the UFC couldn’t work with him but catered to that ****** Woodley, who Rory schooled. Rory would also be a way better analyst.

Yup it's a shame he isn't in the UFC he is top 3 at worst in the division. They could definately use him at a time when the division and UFC as a whole is lacking stars .I would love to see him beat Woodleys arse.

Don't be surprised this time next year for him to have won the Middleweight title or have shot lined up.Apparently him and chael don't get along and want to fight each other and he seems to be willing to fight pretty much anyone which has to be respected

He showed so much potential when he started in UFC at 18 I expected his career to go how Holloways went.

It always seemed he was the heir apparent to GSP and it seemed just a matter of when he would get the title.

Hopefully after a year or 2 he comes back to UFC he's obviously young enough.

The only worry I had was how much those back to back wars with Wonderboy and Lawler took out of him. I know Lawler hasn't been the same since his Rory and Condit fights.

Yeah I'm sure he does it's hard to deny that kind of talent.Apparently they have a beef over some kind of incident in an elevator years ago.

I can't remember exactly what but it was some macho **** which Sonnen apparently says means they have to fight LOL.

I think he's number 3 behind Woodley and Wonderboy and it's such a shame he's left UFC.

I do think Woodley beats him in a rematch but it's a fight I'd love to see and the beat that can be made in the division.

He had the tools to take over the division unquestionably.... Remains to be seen if he can still do it, beating Lima(a top 10 fighter in his own right) to win the Bellator WW crown is a good start.

For out positioning Lima, control time, and bring a tough sob. Rory got his ass beat. That’s one of those fights where
You won 3-2 but you will be out for 6 months recovering. Plus you never know when your career will be over. You cant take several beatings like the lawler and Lima fights.
Guy is already looking like the beast from beauty and beast.

You know what Ben askren would do to Rory? Dude is seriously shopworn. Not sure if he can beat a Koreshkov or Lima again.

Rory always takes extended breaks after hard fights I've noticed. He's one of those guys who's actually probably worried about his health. But some wars time will never heal, he's damaged but still a factor at WW. Definitely not the same guy post Lawler though. Going into the fight he had all of the tools to be the best in the world with the right mindset, but that fight ruined him. I bet he's kicking himself every day for not fight smarter in Lawler II. Things would be a lot different for him.

As for Askren.... I've come to appreciate him a lot more in recent years with how good Lima and Koreshkov have looked after he dominated them start to finish. There's nobody in the world apart from a prime GSP at 170 who could produce that kind of performance. Askren would have been the top dog had the UFC signed him..... No doubt about it. But that steroid abusing 50 year old manchild let a Twitter feud get the best of him.

Exactly. ****ing Dana should have worked a lil harder to keep him in the UFC. He’s better and way more exciting than Woodley.
