DLH (x2), Forest (X2), Winky (x2), Vargas (x2), Cotto, etc. Often times on ESB we are too caught up in wins and losses, instead of willingness to fight top competition. Win, lose, or draw-this is what boxing is about. Its what really makes the sport go around.
He's one of the better Boxers - in and out of the ring. A very good image - that shows his sportsmanship in every fight. I've never seen him duck an opponent - even though some may point back to the Mayweather fight that was offered after the second Vargas fight. I'm looking forward to his next fight - which is looking to be against Mayorga on May 31st at 154lbs.
Anyone with an ounce of fairness knows that DLH mandated that he not take that fight to clear the way for "The world awaits".
DLH wanted PBF at the time the challenge was issued to Shane. DLH believed that with the size discrepency he could beat the #1 P4P, but didnt want Shane beating him to it. Shane works for DLH. The rest is history.
Oh - you were talking about Mosley/Mayweather - I thought you were talking about Mosley/Mayorga. I got you! :good
Yes, Shane deserves credit for that. How about Oscar? He doesn't get credit for anything, can he get credit for who he has fought? Whitaker Chavez (twice) Trinidad Mosley (twice) Vargas Mayorga Quartey Camacho Hopkins Mayweather Need I go on? Especially when hardly anyone even looks as it wins over (Ruelas, Leija, Molina, Paez, Gatti, Castillejo, Hernandez, Gonzalez, Obe Carr.... ect...) Just an unbelievable resume.
Mosley is a good example of a guy who REALLY has nothing left to prove, unlike some other fighters who CLAIM that status.
