I think this is a bit of a stretch. I watched the fight and all the coverage and off course they’re going to discuss how he could have done better he was the biggest name in boxing in the UK for 10 years. But no body said Usyk wasn’t the better fighter and everyone I seen said he shouldn’t even have had the rematch as he was beaten so bad in the first. The narrative was in no way that Joshua lost the fight rather than Usyk winning it. Commentators/pundits mentioned he could have been more aggressive after he landed a decent punch but that is reasonable question he has not looked aggressive enough for a good few fights.
I think UK broadcasts have often been guilty of trying to hard not to be biased haye v valuev and Fury v Klitschko some high profile examples

 The mentally broken confidence shattered soul harvested sloppy seconds of Usyk. No problem

God I hope AJ knocks that bum out so bad

It's not a reach at all. I watched tons of videos and read tons of comments back then and many are still pushing this narrative even now.

Had Dubois knocked Usyk out last night the exact same people would've been saying see, I told you that's all AJ needed to do. Why didn't he just do that?

Again, Usyk literally had everything heavily stacked against him and he whooped AJ's ass despite that. He deserved 100% credit for his wins not to be discredited with endless narratives about what AJ didn't do. AJ did what Usyk allowed him to do and that's all he could do because Usyk is simply the much better fighter. If they were even remotely the same size Usyk would knock him out 100 x out of 100

And let's be honest, it's not as if Ortiz wasn't rated far higher than his resume proved either, was it?

The great irony of all this is that the belt may no longer be hostage to Wilders Bum Carousel, but it's not exactly meant there's been any more or less quality fights for it :lol::lol:

Don Charles calls Usyk a cheat when the referee made the call, not Usyk. Referees should basically do nothing in a fight except give counts per Charles.

Man I know it's nothing new but boxing can be a cess pitt of bias politics and vested interests.

On the basis that Wilders finally not running as far as fast as possible, you have to wonder whether AJ really has fallen far enough to where Deonkey finally has a prayer...

    Yes.

Otiz's best ever win is either Bryant Jennings or Prince Charlie Martin and he barely fought any legit punchers other than The Dosser. Nice guy, good fighter, but he's never beaten anyone above C level.

Just goes to show the level of jealousy and hatred certain pieces of **** like Don Charles have towards Usyk.

It’s the refs call, he’s appointed as the official peace keeper and rule enforcer for fights, and he made the call. Simple as that. And as photo proof has shown, he made the right call.

To the haters… Usyk KO9. Deal With It ;)

I can't count the Martin fight, it was corpse Vs zombie.

Jennings wasn't really all that either - his most noteworthy performance being to still lose to a Wlad who looked totally uninterested in fighting.

The hype on Ortiz Vs what he'd actually achieved was unbelievable... But then, it suited a narrative...

He ran from a bigger purse than Belly did from Usyk. Let that sink in

I said last night that I consider Dubois more dangerous for Usyk than The Dosser because he not only possesses devastating power, in both hands not just one, but he actually has skills, can put his shots together, and a great jab. AJ has a big skill edge against The Dosser and he has the power to knock him sparko with either hand too

    True

All the Ortiz vs Povetkin threads were comical. Povetkin, both amateur and pro, was way better, more accomplished, proven and tougher but many argued Ortiz>>Povetkin in order to push that pro Dosser narrative even though there is nothing whatsoever of substance behind that assertion

Oof, even I'm not quite sure I'd go that far re DDD - he may be young and have potential, but his resume is really no less thin that Wilders, and his inability to even see jabs coming is quite appalling.

For all Wilders lack of skill and ringcraft he's at least got no quit in him... Not that I can exactly regard him as durable after getting flattened by the relatively light fisted Fury, mind you.

You're right that AJ has a huge, huge skill surplus against Wilder - as with the DDD comparison though, AJ's weakness is mental and he has seemed to get caught between styles at times...
