jamie and david i think you should let ronnies boxing do the talking

 

I seen him against his last opponent

 

Hes had 4 fights. his first 2 fights he had sold a decent amount of tickets. the 3rd fight he didnt have an opponent confirmed till 2 days before the fight. his 4th fight he got 2 days notice down in sheffield. Billy can confirm the latter. I have no intention on arguing about who ronnie should fight etc as i am no expert on profesional boxing but people expecting major ticket sales in 2 days is unrealistic

 

Big Joe whatever your name is. Boxing is about selling tickets? Surely it's about 2 guys pitting there skills against each other? This is the problem from what I have seen most would rather take easy fights than actually fight a competitive fight. I want to see Ronnie fighting I believe he would beat any super feather in Scotland. Billy I understand your fruistration with Ronnie but to be fair he didn't have much of a choice he wasnt getting any fights you have said yourself you were trying to get him fights with not much luck. From what I have seen the training was really improving Ronnie just a shame sometimes things don't work out. Why would it matter if I had seen prince surely it shouldn't matter?

That's my opinion Billy. At the moment best super feather is Paul Appleby and rightly so. I think in the future that would make a excellent fight who else is there that you believe could beat Ronnie?

 

Billy i take your word on Ronnie not understanding the pro game i keep trying to tell his pals on here its all about tickets sales no matter who you are and its Business then a sport not just any 2 guys fighting ...good on them thinking Ronnie is a top super feather weight ... i cant be arsed with trying to explain to his pals anymore they just don't get it ...Since you've released him can he self manage see how many show he can get on good luck with that Team Ronnie

BigJoetT- Nobody has said selling tickets is not important so stop making yourself out to be some sort of guru. you are giving out information that is already known, the main thing is getting a good fight set up and selling it. is that not the case? nobody wants to see a mismatch where people are getting blew away in the first round. I said a fighter has got to get notice for a fight so he can try sell some tickets do you agree? there is no point in discussing who is better than who as people have said ronnie would prefer to do his talking in the ring. Ronnies split with billy was nothing serious and a lack of understanding for pro game? its simple ronnie was travelling to the gym with no sponsor or getting fights which means no income. he has a young family to support and im guessing billy can understand that as he wrote on john simpsons thread he supported why john didnt travel from greenock. Just seems because ronnie couldnt do it billy now thinks hes a sh** fighter . If Ronnie is given a few weeks notice on a fight he will sell tickets. thats a guarentee. hes being treated like a journeyman given a fight on 2 days notice and being expected to be a massive ticket seller. Please explain how it works

 

No mate Ronnie is a good fighter although far from being the best in Scotland thats what ive said,i think you should ask Ronnie why he was speaking to other promoters/managers behind my back thinking that he wouldnt be caught? I wont work with people i cant trust and Ronnie lost my trust end of!
