Erkan Teper is very similar to Sinan Samil Sam.

He's tough and has decent technical skills, but he's already 29 and isn't really world class. Salif is age 40 and basically quit in the fight yesterday, so it wasn't as impressive as it looks on paper.

I like Ondrej Pala, he's more athletic than Teper. He won every round against Wilson, who really came to fight and appears to have more left than Salif.

Never heard of the Teper, but from the looks of him I'd say that fried chickens all over the world should be very worried.

 

Big Pulev fan here. If the guy had even a little power or killer instinct, I'd say he'd be the guy to take down the Klits, bit as it is, I suspect he'll just end up being a rich man's version of Ruslan Chagaev. I do like him a lot, and he has well above average skills and talent, but there are definitely major flaws that will keep him from being a top guy. I suspect he'll be a top 5 guy at some point, but eventually he'll face someone too good with too much power, and I suspect he'll wilt. He's already shown he doesn't have the world's greatest heart, and as I mentioned before, his power is well below average for a top heavyweight..

 

Watch more of him. This guy is more hype than substance. He can be good offensively, and I like to watch him fight, but he'll never be great unless he can fundamentally change how he fights. One standard deviation up or down, and he ends up like Travis Walker (in the 33% scenario) or Jimmy Thunder (in the 66% scenario). Tons of upside, but I just don't see that he works hard enough and has the ring smarts to get there.

 

In the Olympics, I thought he was the third best pro prospect out there, after Lomachenko (hopefully turning pro after 2012, and if he's able to build the proper endurance, I think he'll be a pound for pound guy) and Camarelle (who will never go pro). I like Chakhiev a lot, but he does have things to work on. Fortunately, he seems to actually be able to build on himself and have the motivation to do so. I just home he doesn't follow the money to HW - he could be a great CW, but he doens't have the attributes to be good one weight class up.

There are very few Thai prospects up around his weight, but the welterweight prospect stands at 6'0" and has great reach (he's the one ducking down on the left). He still hasn't stepped up to great competition, but he's fought a number of 12 rounders and has proven he can last. Was a good Muay Thai fighter who converted because his striking was just that much better, and his arm reach is so long for his weight. Doesn't have good training, and doesn't seem to have a great chin, but he's only 19 years old, still learning the craft, and has beaten some decent fighters. It's a longshot, but if he wins a title and heads to a country with better trainers full-time, he could be something special. If he was getting the kind of attention Canelo was getting, he could be just as big, and he's about the same level of talent.

Glazkov is one of my favorite boxers. But I'm disappointed his management has had him fight only once (Nov 4) since March, and against a soft opponent, pot-bellied old Peret.

There was never really a fight in the works with Sam Peter (or a Sillakh-Vlasov fight discussed either) that was just BS from the Russian promoter who was trying to create more interest in the Lebedev-Toney event.

 

This guy would become very popular if given the chance, he has lots of talent and a crowd-pleasing style. But unfortunately he's stuck with Universum, who have him fight only once every six months or so. If he had a better promoter like Golden Boy or Sauerland, he'd quickly rise to the top of the cruiserweight division.
