With his age and record 46yr old Jody Allen shouldn't be fighting.
He was brave against Rocky but it was a mismatch and was always
going to end the way it did.
So Rodney what have you heard any fights being planned ?
Jeff Horn is fighting Ben Rabeh in Perth on 6/12/12 winner take all.
Rocky and his team should follow his example and challenge Daniel Dawson
on the 7/12/12 in Perth. Win lose or draw Rocky would be competitive.

My keyboard is somewhat relieved Rocky eventually found his way into the ring since mid last year. It started making all sorts of noises with inserts & deletions since then. Got to the stage, I got a spare...just in case it croaked

    Very frustrating DV.
No doubt his new team has a plan.
But sometimes you just have to chance your arm.
At the moment a good talent going to waste.

What's the bet, his next opponent (if he can find a promoter) is a Thai to touch-up his KO record.

Why tha fack do these manager /trainers scour so high and low , for easybeats . with losing records to beat up on , just to pad the record of an average boxer .

Rocky , Ackawy , there both the same, not fought anyone who can hit back . Its nothing more than facking disgusting . Suppose though when you get a guy who has , a bit of natural talent , has a bit of a dig on him ,

If you look for these unfit , flat footed , feather fisted , Too old opponents , then it allows the trainer /manager to brag in the pub about his undeafeted boxer .

That video , for fack sake , If Jeric has half the talent he is being spruited has having , he would of put the flat footed profesional punchbag / loser,, away inside 1 miuite .

Only good thing is , when these clowns profesional bullies , climb the tree a little , they eventually meet someone , who does'nt come to lose , and then its how the mighty have fallen , They suffer embarrasing defeats , they become the cannon fodder for a decent boxer ,

They then leave there , great trainer , and move on to the next one who will pay good money to get them wins .. Aussie Boxing at its Best

    25/4/14 Hurstville Sydney

    4rds Rocky Jerkic V Joe Rea 9-12-1

Although Rea has only had modest success in the winners circle he has
some pretty handy fighters on his resume.
    Patrick Nielsen
    Martin Murray
    Dominik Britsch
    Gregorz Proksa
    Kenny Anderson.
Hopefully Rea will give Jerkic stiffer opposition than Rocky"s previous
    opponents managed to do.

This deliberate career padding is a disappointing and rampant practice. Little wonder some of these fighters who have never gradually stepped up the level of their opponents get found out. Usually in emphatic fashion.

Rocky Jerkic is certainly a great prospect; he is keeping his fans entertained by knocking out opponents (his left hook is so fast and sweetly timed),BUT, the fighters he has fought so far though, have not been very good, and certainly not boxing smart, with some of them highly demonstrating a real lack of talent. Rocky's 100 or so amateur fights clearly shone through. In my opinion, Rocky - at 26yrs of age, needs to fight some better quality fighters. The bloke that he is fighting this week, is a bit of a tired old journeyman with a hell of a lot of red squares(losses). I accept that this type of journeyman is always a dangerous risk. I think Rocky's build and skills will win him an Australian title, and he could go on to international successes. I think he is seasoned enough to now fight eight, ten rounds.....he is well past the four and sixes. After this fight it is time to select some better quality fighters.

Everybody has been saying the same thing for ages. He looks like he is another one who cant work out what he wants to do.

In my experience with boxing and boxing training, I have seen many stubborn ex-amateur fighters totally ignore advice to extend their scope and to take on higher competition in pro's.
This may not be the case with Rocky. It is hard to plan a boxing career. Making up your mind to fight anywone is not the way to win a title.

It is a shame that boxing these days, does not provide a lot of media to inspire and encourage talented boxers. Rocky definitely has a talent. If he takes too shorter steps towards gaining a title or international title he might find that he is over the hill, with a record to indicate that he has not taken an ounce of risk to fight someone decent.

It is a huge hill to climb, but, if I were him, I would back myself. If I was his trainer, I would tell him that he should back his experience and skill and begin to fight ten and twelve rounds, and fight the champs, and not the duds. (JMHO) Ps...and he should continue to sharpen and quicken that rapid punching skill he has; you dont want that lightening left hook to ever slow down.....
