    flatlander,

i first saw brandon rios on the old telefutura when he was like 8-0 and back then he didn't have much of a defense. in fact, he almost got KO'd in one of those fights but came back to score a KO himself. what i've noticed is that since he's been training under La Colonia banner in oxnard, he's improved his skills and defense alot. i think this kid is a really top prospect who could go far in about two years. i would give him maybe 4-5 more fights before putting him in for a world title. definitely keeping my eyes of this young cat!

He reminds me a lot of Vargas too. He gets better with every fight. He is a Top Rank fighter and lives in Oxnard, California but he was born and raised in Garden City, Kansas. His Dad, Manuel Rios is a trainer at our gym.

 When Brandon first turned pro he, like Victor Ortiz, thought he could KO everyone.

Solis just knocked out Monte..... i dont know if youd still consider Solis a prospect but it was the first ive seen him (sad... i know) I think hes got a decent chance at making some real noise if he drops some lbs.
