'Prospects' about whom you think, "I just don't see it..."

Tyson Fury strikes me as nothing more than a top tier "domestic HW." Much like Seth Mitchell was before the Banks KO (yes, Fury is more accomplished than Seth was, but nonetheless). If Fury fought Banks in 3 months, would anyone be surprised if Banks starched him early too? I think not...

 

He's not necessarily a prospect, but I never really understood why people thought so highly of Hank Lundy.

 

can't believe no-one said deontay wilder. his technique won't cut it, he'll get taken out by a gatekeeper type fighter and he'll get sparked out for sure to a fringe world level contender just like seth mitchell. hope they bring him over here to the uk to fight price, its funny to see the reaction on the faces of all these fake black G's on esb when he's laid out on the canvas gasping for air.

 

Fury is a KO waiting to happen. If Chisora hadn't turned up to the fight 320lbs he would have had him out of there in the second.

Wilder is another one who's chin won't hold up against the big boys.

 

shawn porter - he's going to get knocked out pretty soon. far too easy to hit. and he's a bit flaky.
deontay wilder - but i think most agree with him.

can't believe you have denton vassell, IB. he's not bad for an under card fight on the domestic scene, but he's going no where near world class. i've not seen him hyped on here.

 

i always said gavin wouldn't go anywhere. and that's still the case today.

 

Shawn Porter was the first name to come to mind for me. He's semi-local so I've tried to see something there. Just can't do it though.

 

David Price. Still has an Amatuer style, horrible footwork, and we know his Chin is garbage. The fact he is being coddled doesn't help either. They know what they got with him. He is a brutal KO waiting to happen.

Thurmun I have changed my mind on. On his HBO debut when the announcers were slobbering over his power he looked awful and I didn't see the savage power they were talking about. His last fight he looked much better. Maybe he had an off night the first time I saw him? Jury is still out.

 

100% agree on all. Some of those guys look impressive sometimes but they just lack certain skills and fundamentals. Other just look out right terrible and I don't get hot they get any hype(Gonzalez/Kayode).

I disagree about Bute beating Stevenson those. Bute is more of a boxer and Stevenson the puncher but both guys could spark the other IMO. Id love this fight to happen. Bute takes it as a tune up after Stevenson gets thrashed by Froch and they have a short but sweet foty in Canada.

 

Agreed on Bogre I honestly see nothing more then a solid fighter. Might win a title at best but he'll never be elite. Wilder is raw but has something.... He could go either way but has Magdaleno? He looks as good as you could hope and seems to be getting better. He's developed his power and now looks the complete boxer/puncher.

Im really high on him.

Fury isn't known to have chin problems so yes many... Actually all fans would have been shocked. Fury kills Banks and is levels above Banks and Mitchell.

And this is from someone who hates Fury and likes Banks and Mitchell.
