    Amateur pedigree:Andrey Afonin holds 1 round ko win over Erik Pfeiffer.Chemistry Cup,2016.Got to the finals in this cup.Russian U-22 National Championships in Perm,2010 finalist.Konstantin Korotkov Memorial in 2011 winner.Got to the 2011 Russian nationals quarterfinal stage.Got to the 2014 Russian nationals quarterfinal stage.Got to the 2015 Russian national semifinal stage.He has a 3 round TKO loss to Hrgovic.

    Style description:He is a puncher slash boxer.

    Strengths and weaknesses:He is natural on the inside.He cuts distance in a fast way.He throws combinations when attacks.Packs power in both hands.

    Professional career:He will make his pro debut on 3 December Lebedev/Gassiev undercard.He will face journeyman Zarate.He is promoted by billionaire Andrey Rybinski of World of boxing.

    Possible future:Looks like a contender for the future to me.He will be moved fast by his promoter.He would be stylistic nightmare for Parker and Chisora and to others.

    Weight division:Heavyweight.

    Bio:6′2 and a half feet tall.He is 29 years old and hails from Russia.He was disabled being 5 years old but after help from the doctors started walking being 10 years old.He started his career by training his physical strength and when started learning in University he started to train in boxing.

    Amateur pedigree:Was champion of his University.Was the champion of local Universities.After that, he took a break because he needed money for a living.Came back two years ago and won St Peterburg championship.

    Style description:Explosive puncher.

    Strengths and weaknesses:He has one punch ko power,throws fast combinations when he feels that his opponent is hurt.His trainer thinks the attack is the best defense.He is trained by Povetkin's trainer Zimin,he came to Zimin and Zimin started training him.He takes Ginseng,fish fats and protein shakes for training,his fitness trainer is Arnold classic winner Lusakov.

    Professional career:He turned pro in this February.So far has won 9 out of first 9 bouts,stopping Orlov in last fight.

    Possible future:I think he will win the title in the heavyweight division.

    Russia have 3 serious prospects at heavyweight now for sure- Kuzmin, Plechko, Afonin. And it'll be interesting to see how good Evgeny Romanov is nowadays.. hopefully there'll be footage online of his next fight.

    I think Kuzmin is the best of the bunch.I think Romanov is still good,he will face Goncharov tomorrow.I think he will ko him.Romanov weighed just over 217 pounds in his debut fight,so he is in shape.

    Afonin looked in good shape,no fat on his body.He pummeled Zarate good hurting him with many punches.Afonin weighed in 227 pounds for this fight.
