They need to pin broner vs garcia. I'm sick of this "ahhhh were friends" type deal.

There are only so many Pacs and Mays to go around. Garcia vs Peterson sounds like a fun fight. Garcia with his countering ability and power, Peterson with his speed and volume.

Complain about Garcia vs Salka all you want, but Garcia vs Lamont has good fight written all over it.

Apparently the #1 guy in the division fighting a guy who is,at worst, top 5 and has a belt, is a bad fight.

    Who knew?

Nah, Danny will move up to WW before that happens.

I think thats the plan to be honest. Move Danny up to 147, get some big fights and have position Broner to fight for the vacant titles.

PEDerson is a bonified drugs cheat, yet for some strange reason he still has a belt. :? he does not deserve any high profile fights let alone the privilege of fighting in a title unification bout. :nut

The IBF LWW belt is a paper belt as far as I'm concerned. PEDerson already got flattened by Matthysse who in turn got beaten by Garcia so really Danny is the real IBF champ already. and even then one could argue that Herrera should hold both Danny + PEDerson's belts.

I don't like how Haymon has basically positioned this fight in such a way that NOW this is actually a good fight. Like it has been said, this fight should have happened Saturday. Instead Haymon feeds them up some bums while getting over $1.3 million in purses for Garcia and Peterson combined. The bad fights make the fans appreciate and seek out the basic level fights. Set the bar low enough and anything reasonable will seem like a big deal

I know the Ring's got him #2 so I'll give credit to Garcia for beating a highly ranked fighter, but I don't think the worst you can legitimately rank him is 5th. His signature victory is still a hometown robbery in which he was doped up for, and since then, he's been crushed by Matthysse and beaten Dierry Jean. That's been the last 3 years in a nutshell for him.

The only reason Peterson has a belt is because he demanded the Matthysse fight to be held at 141, therefore removing the possibility of losing this title. Pathetic as it can get.

Matthysse was actually the one who demanded the fight be at 141.

Boxing promoters are all scum....Its just the degrees in which they suck.
Arum has been doing this for years and years. For a while Al seemed like a breath of fresh air................................................and now we are at the point where he is just as horrid as the rest of em.

Also, to the post before saying Lomo vs Russell was a mismatch, I have to strongly disagree and I am happy that fight was made. Sure lomo dominated but it was a very 50/50 split feeling going in.

I don't see the reason for the hysteria.
