There should be a rematch. Only this time give WWEWard a club and a knife. It really is the only thing to do.

Agreed, but Weeks should have stepped and gave a count not stop it. I wanted to see Kov dig deep, see what the guy is made of. He probably would have been stopped early in the next round, but give tha guy a chance.

Kinda hilarious you feel like that about Ward's low blows but bury Dempsey for the Sharkey knockout lol.

I thought Joshua had absolutely no chance to see round 7 the way he looked in the two previous rounds against Wlad, but it happened. There's no defending that stoppage imo.

Ward looked tired too in round 8

There's no justifying a stoppage on a foul. Period. Ward would have lost a point. 9/9 round.

Kathy already tried this when Judah cried that he was stopped by a low blow from Khan and NSAC rightly laughed at her.

They can file all they want. Ward broke him down. Nothing will come of the protest.

Please cry some more, Kova fans. I'm extremely parched, your tears quenches my thirst. I hope you guys cry for a year straight just like the last fight, pure entertainment.

Just watched an interview with JDJ and Don Turner...They both don't come across as genuine "Team Kovalev"..I think he needed to change his corner a while ago by the looks of things....You got JDJ saying"Not now but i'll tell u later" followed with a wink to the interviewer . They cant wait to break away and start slagging off Kov...I think he should retire now. He was knackered by the 7th and he would've trained properly, so no real excuses...The gas tank isn't there anymore

You are probably right. But it has to be done. It's their only play at this point. Before they file, they should actually have independent refs review the fight and give their opinions on it as supportive evidence that the last punch was illegal.

    Broke him down?!
Kovalev was only hurt as he was hit low and when leaning forward was hit cleanly with Ward's power punches. After Ward couldn't get him down, he landed 3 consecutive low blows.
Events like this mar boxing. A rematch to a fight that wasn't conclusive, that generates nearly $10million, is stopped prematurely by a very experienced 'world class' referee not being able to spot 5 low blows?
Now you have Ward, his fans and other boxers going about like there was no controversy.
All the hate that's going to come on these boards. Ask yourself, would the referee have waved for a TKO if Kovalev landed those low blows?
What is this going to do for other foreign fighters, fighting the likes of Crawford and Spence?
I very much doubt there'll be a 3rd fight. I also doubt it'll be overturned to a NC. A truly sad day for boxing. It could have carried on with a clear winner and some closure. This was meant to be the best fighting the best and a treat for us fight fans.
